Our first Chromebook experience is great so far. Love that there is no waiting to boot up, no updates, simply open the laptop & start working. Set up was easy. We were able to connect our wireless printer in less than 2 mins. It does take some getting used to the keyboard as the keys are different (like no delete key), but there are tutorials & quick tips online. This Acer is stylish with a large screen and performs well. The battery lasts all day. I have no complaints.

Easy to get started right out of box, very small learning curve. Light so it is easy to carry around. Battery life is amazing. If you are not a heavy gamer consider this laptop

    Windows OS to Chrome OS?

I had looked, researched and considered for a long time when the hinges on my laptop broke rendering it useless except by carefully not moving the lid at all. This was a very affordable and available option to "at least get me by" until I could get a replacement laptop. Most laptops no longer come with CD/DVD options so that was no loss. I have had problems getting my printer to work wirelessly but it is a few years old. It does print if I plug in the USB though so not a deal breaker either. Since I have Android phones Chrome OS was an easy transition. There are a few things to get used to but It is all pretty logical. One difference actually threw me so I had to Google it (easy since Chrome is a Google product!)... no right click capability...sort of! it is just a 2 finger tap on the touch pad instead of a right button. I think if you use a mouse it is still the same though. So far I am happy. Super light, extremely fast start up, resume and shut down. Amazing really! Oh...and cool, almost cold to the touch no matter how long you are using it. Which reminds me... battery life is absolutely unbelievable. From a full charge this has lasted 14 hours a few rimes but I'm pretty sure at least 12 hours. I go days without charging. Now in all fairness I do have it set to conserve. Meaning it goes to sleep in a very short time if I'm not actually using it. (Not if watching videos though, it keeps open without having to hit the touchpad or anything). When it is in "sleep" it literally only takes touching the space bar or touchpad and it opens right away. So yes, I am happy. No Windows programs but there are apps if you need to use Office and some others. There are also built in alternatives to most you may want to use. Play Store is built in so very easy to search and find what you need. Oh and storage. Yes it does have a small built in capacity but it does have a mini SD card slot so you can increase it easily AND Google Drive and Pictures are easily synced. This is an internet based OS but it does work for a lot of things offline. ...and as for the hinge issue with my other laptop... This is a convertible so I don't think that will ever be an issue. these hinges are meant to be used to turn this into a tablet so much better built to withstand use! Get one, well worth the $300-ish price!

I did my research before heading to best buy... The best buy employees were so patience and kind, they answered all additional questions I had. What I first loved about the acer chromebook was the size of the screen, it was not too big not too small..just the right size for me and kid. Lastly, the fact that it is foldable ,touchscreen and the battery doesnt run out...

Got this Chromebook in lieu of a more expensive laptop for our kid. Its really nice, a big screen, looks good, touchscreen, and runs well. I'd say it exceeded my expectations.

The Acer Spin 15 is a great value in a Chromebook that just works. We needed something snappy and prioritized screen size; the display on this is not only big enough but surprisingly nice compared with other Chromebooks with shorter viewing angles and more washed-out colors. It prints great to our Google Cloud Print - capable Canon Pixma printer.

At 73, I'm not one for change even though my desktop has slowed down, doesn't always allow me to play games, nor give me the crisp performance it used to. My son-in-law has been encouraging me to purchase a Chromebook. This year on Black Friday, I pulled the trigger! I just opened the box, and it's BIG and beautiful! The exterior is elegant, stylish and impressive! It is heavier for me to tote around, but it's basically for my house anyway. The set up was so easy for this novice. (I was so proud of myself!) I've installed Disney Plus and am watching The Mandalorian and the colors on the screen are gorgeous! The screen is enormous and I flipped to the tent position to view it. I also wanted to try out Candy Crush and the sound blew me away! The speakers on each side of the keyboard are definitely doing their job. I'm not hard of hearing yet, so I had to find the decrease volume button immediately! I love the touch screen feature and the fact that everything on my Google Docs transferred instantly when I signed in. Even my most frequently used Bookmarks were exactly where they were on my desktop. Using this Acer 15" Chromebook and learning how easy it is to operate, I wish I listened to my son-in-law sooner! Thanks, Best Buy for giving me the complimentary 3-months of Disney Plus, too! I am so delighted with this Acer Spin Chromebook!

This is a very nice Acer 2-n-1 15.6in touch screen chromebook. It is very useful for my child's school/homework and also very versatile. not only can you check e-mails, type and/save documents. You can also watch movies on it as well. The double speakers are very loud and it is well worth the money especially if you're looking for a laptop/chromebook that you can hear very well without using ear plugs. I would recommend this to family and friends!!

    WIFI Dependent

I did some research on these Chromebooks before buying one and thought I had it all figured it. So one of the big selling points of these is that they’re supposed to be faster than PC laptops because all of the software is web based and you don’t have to download anything. No downloading Microsoft Office or anything like that, all that stuff takes up memory and supposedly slows down your computer. But the Chromebooks are all web based, your computer doesn’t have to store a bunch of software which makes it faster. And it does, I will say that it boots up, starts up and is generally faster than my old Dell laptop. So I did go into this knowing that these computers are we based but I didn’t really know what the experience would be like until I actually got the computer. As long as you have WIFI this thing works great! If you don’t have WIFI they’re basically worthless. You literally can’t do anything on these without an internet connection. For example, you know how on a PC laptop you can open up Microsoft Word and type up a document, you can type it up, save and then send it later? Well Chromebooks use Google software and they’re version of Word is Google Docs. You can open up Google Docs without WIFI but you can’t use all of its features....even perhaps the most basic feature, but sometimes the most important feature, the save function. I found that one out the hard way. I was on travel and was at a place that didn’t have WIFI and typed up a document for work, only to find out I couldn’t save it because I didn’t have WIFI. But that’s not why I gave it four stars instead of five. I gave it four stars because I have to double or sometimes triple click on an icon to get it to open. Not sure what’s going on there but it’s annoying. On short, this is a well built machine and works great as long as you’re on WIFI, without it you can’t do much with these.

For the price point, this is an excellent Chromebook. Everything you need in a Chromebook plus a few extras. Love the fact that it's convertible, really gives the feeling of an Android tablet when that's what you need. Solid build & battery longevity is ample. If I had to do it again the only thing I would change is the size. It's a little big from a portability standpoint but that's pure preference. It was a good buy.

So far great. It does a great job for what it is intended for: Web browsing, e-mail, play music and watch movies and much more. Great FHD screen loud speakers. Overall great buy for the money you pay for it. No more headaches with windows crashes every time Microsoft pushes an update. Migrated totally away from Windows because of multiple crashes. Buy it. It's worth it.

Bought this for my 11 year old for school work and zoom meetings. Works great and super user friendly. I don’t know much about chrome books and she was able to figure everything out easily. She loves the choice to use it as a touch screen or type on the keyboard. Likes the ability to flip it all the way until it’s like a tablet (and the keyboard buttons lock and you use the keyboard on the screen). Very versatile.

Love it, Love it Love It!!! This Acer has all the good things about a Chromebook - instant startup, long-lasting battery, quick response - and a touch screen! This was a bigger laptop than I planned to purchase, but the price was right and it offered the touchscreen, only available on more expensive models.

Got it for kids for virtual schooling. At a time when chromebooks were scarce and marked up, I got a good deal and it exceeded my expectations. Now almost a year later, it really was a great buy. Already looking for another chromebook now but only because of the good experience with this one. Looking for a high end one now.

Good device, snappy, easy to use, battery lasts all day easy. Can't complain. Although a bought it as the floor model it has worked well. When I bought it the USB -C port on the left side didn't work. I still haven't gotten it fixed but the one the right works and works for charging as well so I keep putting off getting the other side fixed. Best buy did not offer to fix it for me.

I have been using a Macbook Air for years and I got to say I am sold on this Chromebook. Great price and easy to setup, use, etc. My primary use is internet for fun, and personal finances. It is also used for kids school, they use Google Classroom. Battery life is long, bootup is lighting fast, touchscreen is responsive. Well worth the money
