Visually Overwhelming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: I received this product free in exchange for my review. Background on me: I taught myself how to use Jasc (now Corel) Paint Shop Pro over 10 years ago, and have used it recreationally since. In college I played with Photoshop in the Mac lab on campus, but never really learned how to really use it. I was super excited to get this program for free, I've wanted to switch over to Adobe for a while now and thought this was just perfect to get my feet wet in the world of Adobe. Unfortunately, it is very visually overwhelming/chaotic when you open the program (though I will admit so is the latest iteration Paint Shop Pro) especially to those unfamiliar with the layout. I have high hopes that I will be able to teach myself how to use the program, there just might be a big learning curve.

Photo editing made easy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this product very easy to use. It has guided tours on edits, which helps you learn and get familiar with all the tools you can use. After you feel more comfortable with editing on your own you can play around with the different editing modes. I would recommend this to any photographer or any one who just wants to make their photos stand out.

Easy install and now my pics are finally organized
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found installation to be straightforward and reasonably fast. The indexing feature took some time (I had a lot of pictures) but finally all of my digital images are squared away. Editing of photos was fairly intuitive, I haven't gotten to far into that or tried anything too complex but it seems versatile.

Nice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a fairly decent Mac user, so I consider myself fairly proficient with new software. This is the first Adobe package to ever buy and use (excluding the .pdf readers) and I can not say how pleased with what they put together. First the set-up After initially looking for the serial number (on the PC sleeve), set-up was easy and quick. Most software packages are a digital download, so having a CDROM was a blast from the past The software is very intuitive and follows the same patterns of icons that we are all familiar with Now for the software. Everyone has seen "photoshopped" photos, and within minutes I was cleaning up old photos that I wanted to keep, then off to the fun stuff. Clip, cutting and pasting was simple, fun and easy. You can let your creative imagination flow and be as wild as you cared to be This program easily showed me what I have been missing out all of these years Overall, I would recommend this to any amateur photographer for family photos, scenic views and remembrance where the quality of the photo makes a difference

Excellent Software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent piece of software. Has some great new features over Photoshop Elements 14. Really easy to use and Adobe realized a lot of computers don't have CD drives anymore so its possible to download the software and use the product code that's on the CD sleeve.

Maybe for a beginner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photoshop Elements 15 is a good beginner software if you are looking into getting involved with Photoshop. I was highly reminded of the photo editing software on my phone, but with much more capability of course. It gets a bit complicated trying to download the software to your computer of you have no CD drive. It took me a while to do so. The Adobe website was really no help, and was just a trial and error type of deal. Great for beginners, but might not be for advanced users.

Ok Software!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a user of various boxed software programs such as Print Shop, Mavis Beacon, Resume Maker, Canon Creative, all of which are user friendly; however, to the contrary, I found this software to be difficult in the download process. I have a Lenovo B570 that is 5 years old that has Windows 7 operation system that still performs well. Being that the computer has a CD/DVD drive, I thought the download process would be a breeze due to the fact I have internet routers that offer blazing download and upload speeds. To the contrary, this was just not the case, the download process was very slow and time consuming. While I understand that it is such a large file because of the media content that it has, I found the process to be cumbersome and not user-friendly. For example, the program imported all of my pictures along with other things such as songs (in which I have 300 plus in Dropbox) which I found odd because of the fact songs have no relation to picture content. After viewing of the tutorials which are very informative and user-friendly, I played with a few pictures and I did like the features that the program has to offer. However, with all the time that it consumed to get everything set up and going, it negates the overall likability of this software.

Nice software for the non power photo editor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've always been a bit wary of buying/trying the full version of Photoshop (as I have), then this is a good piece of software to take for a spin. The instructions are intuitive and the GUI is easy to learn and master. The quality of the effects seems to be good for my non-professional eyes. However, the process of downloading the software for those of use without a DVD drive (probably most of us) is not ideal.

Good for Newbies
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short and sweet... if you have used Photoshop in any capacity do NOT buy this. This is more like a "plugin" and I can't even try to use it. For the amatuer photog... probably perfect. I was asked to review this software and there you have it. It has a photo editor and a photo organizer. That will help some but not anyone with previous knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom.

Still THE Best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WARNING: Some of the CDs at Best Buy are corrupt and the download will stop and tell you you're attempting to download a counterfeit pirated CD. On the flip side, I contacted Adobe and the issue was fixed remotely with little to no effort from me. The last version of Photoshop I owned was 13. Very little has changed since. I was up and using it with no confusion once the issue was tackled.
