Wouldnt be my first choice but works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was relatively unimpressed with the new 2023 release. Considering Adobe and its reputation for being an industry standard for design, the UI is dated and needs to be brought up to date with the todays UI standards. Or even up to 2010 standards because this is very 2005's era

Maybe it's OK
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm sure it's fine, but I will have to buy a new computer before I can use it. More available pre-order information would have been helpful.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!B IN STORE AND PHON
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy in the store and on the telephone is the worst custom service. I have ever experienced when they sell you a defective product. All that product causes damage. They pretend to help you give you fake. Reference numbers and emails in contacts to people you can never contact I prejudged something from there and it broke. Something of mine that needs to be repaired. They pretended like they understood even that customer service admitted. I got the wrong product.. Pass me over to their insurance company, sedgwick. When I spoke to the lady. She was very nice. Go to find the first reference number. So she created a whole new one. Now I can't call her email nothing. Thanks best buy you guys are great. Don't buy that products!

Extremely Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was expensive and it is not compatible with any of our computers including our Mac. It will only work on our small IPad! It probably works great on computers that are compatible! Who knows!

Simple and quick
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Adobe, makers of iconic software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premier, for many years have made a “light” version of Photoshop and Premier in their “Elements” series for casual and home users who want to make a few light edits, fix red-eye, etc on their photos or videos but don’t want to pay monthly for access to the full “Creative Cloud” suite. Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements both have the same modes, from a quick mode that offers some common tools in a simplified interface, to guided that walks the user through some common and quick fixes, to “Expert” mode which allows the user full control over the editing tools. As someone who has some experience with photo and video editing, I usually go straight for the expert modes. That said, there is value in the quick mode for basic edits, and the guided modes can help new users get familiar with the tools. Most of the essential tools are here, allowing for basic photo edits such as removing blemishes or even people from photos, correcting exposure, adjusting white balance, etc. It can remove red eyes or even “open closed eyes” of a person who happened to blink when the picture was taken. The video editing is also decent, allowing for multiple clips and audio tracks, with a good selection of effects and transitions. I like that splitting files on the expert mode timeline is as simple as clicking the scissors icon, although one quirk I found is that you need to make sure both your video and audio tracks are selected and active, or else it will only cut one and not the other. For video output modes, most of the common codecs, resolutions, and frame rates are supported. One nice touch is that when importing media, if the media is different from your project settings, a pop up comes up that allows you at align the final output with the input media. You can also just export the audio from your video in different formats, which is really useful. If you have a tablet such as a surface, you can use the pen with the brush tools, but sadly it doesn’t seem to support some of the more advanced features like tilt and pressure sensitivity. Using the back of the pen didn’t work as an eraser either, you need to switch to the eraser tool. Overall, Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements continue their tradition of making photo and video editing accessible at a fair price that doesn’t come with a monthly subscription. Recommended for those ready to move beyond the basic tools provided with their device but don’t plan on using professional grade tools (and paying for them).

A lot of function for the money
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm pretty fair with Photoshop as I've been using the standalone versions since Photoshop 7 (back in 2002). I presently use the standalone Creative Suite 6 - I'm one of the dinosaurs who hasn't opted to rent the most recent version from Adobe. I use it almost exclusively for still photo touch ups. I was surprised to find almost all of my favorite Photoshop tools in Photoshop Elements 2023, though some are more difficult to find. For instance, to find the very useful magic wand tool, you have to first click the quick selection tool and then it's an option in the menu at the bottom. In general, I find the menus are a bit deeper (fewer top level choices), but the features I need were buried under that top selection. I found the very useful shadow/highlight adjustment buried under the Enhance > Adjust Sharpness and the Levels tool is available on adjustment overlays as well as under the Enhance tab. However, I miss the Curves tool from Photoshop that gives a lot more control over the relative contrast of the image. I also miss the HDR (high dynamic range) enhance tool from Photoshop CS6 as well, though it's possible to synthesize the effect using layers. There are a few new tools (content aware move) that I haven't used before and I'm looking forward to learning more about. There are also many more patterns, effects, filters, and styles that I have in my old Photoshop. I'm looking forward to playing with them. Elements also has the ability to create Slide Shows, Collages, Photobooks, etc. built in. That's another win. It also has Camera Raw plugins. I'm very happy with Elements, though I still have to spend some more time getting used to the different workflows. I'm a video editing novice so I won't comment on Premiere Elements.
