Read before you buy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dont buy this from Best Buy! Ive had it 6 months and the power supply went out. I took it to geek squad inside the Florence, KY Best Buy and they told me they could fix it in 3-5 days. On the 5th day i got an email and came in to pick it up, they tell me they cant actually work on alienware pcs and ill need to send it to the manufacturer. Why not tell me that when i brought it in or day 1,2,3, or 4 of "reparing" it? They tried charging me at first for the repair. Go anywhere else if this is the pc you are trying to get.

I wasn’t able to make it back into the store to return or exchange the item so I decided to mail it in, that sounded simple enough. Until they got the package back today which no big deal that was about a week to get there.. then they hit me with the text message that says they will examine the return in 10 business days and it will take an additional 10 business days if they approve it to get a refund. 10 days just to find out if they deem the return even worthy? By the time they decide if the item is even worthy of a refund a payment will be due on my Best Buy card (which this is the only thing on it..) 0/10 experience, I’ve had issues with items purchased at Best Buy in the past and this will probably be the last item I ever purchase from them. I do not recommend Alienware since I purchased a different r16 model prior to this that was also defective, it kept overheating, and then this one, and also i wouldn’t buy from Best Buy period. Buy your pcs from a more reputable store that specializes in those products.

What I went through with this pc

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long story short: I've had this PC for about not even a year and I've had constant problems with it, to my drivers not fulling working that it kept on black screening or the parts are just cheap that my fan broke not even the first week. And throughout these problems I had to go to best buy in a total of three times just for them to "fix it". And from those three times they fixed it, there was always another problem. And the parts are dell made, so that's what angered me and why I've had so many problems. So I'm really disappointed about this PC like really disappointed. Just saying from my experience, just don't get this PC, it's not worth the money.

NEVER EVER BUY BEST BUY!

Was told a bunch of lies about services and crap i didn't need! Even after multiple times of refusing.....Was told how i wouldn't need anything done had everything i need to go home update and play......2 days of learning how to run in bios so i could install everything os,windows, graphics card and dashboard, my alienware didn't even come with a command center downloaded....and the alienware welcome center doesn't work at all! DON'T BUY BEST BUY GO STRAIGHT TO DELL......nvm go falcon this computer is so heartbreaking to me im literally in a depression ! I will never use BestBuy Ever again and hope they make this right. This is just the tip of what happend to me in this horrible transaction that cost me over2200$ and my computer was i believe $1299. On sale so you tell me?

Gross - stay away from Alienware pc’s

No Plug!!

I bought it as a surprise for my son. When we opened it, we realized that it came with no Plug. No way to turn it on! I called best buy and after waiting for 30 minutes I was told to go to a store and figure it out. Even though this was purchased online and shipped. It will fale me 3 to 4 hours now to get the plug when they could have just shipped it directly

Random shut offs

I spent 300 dollars dollars on a protection plan. The pc started to go black screen and reboot itself when im in the middle of a game. The geek squad said it might be software related so they were trying to charge me 100 bucks to see what was wrong. What did i spend 300 dollars for????? I send the pc into a dofferent company that did it for free. They said it was a hardware failure. So, i would have paid 100 bucks to find out that best buy should have covered it for free via my 300 dollar protections plan. Why is this pc failing after 7 months when i rarely even use it? I suspect i got a refurbished one with the claim that it was brand new. The cardboard inside did have suspicious signs of wear. The company i used is replacing the broken hardware for 60 bucks. They did a free checkup and gave me a fair price for a repair. I will NEVER buy any computer from best buy ever again. They scammed me out of 300 bucks. I take responsibility for not reading the fine print. But who does when they are paying 300 bucks for insurance??? You would think that you get the golden treatment after paying 300 bucks for just insurance on the product. Do not gamble 2000 dollars on best buy. Go to a reputable pc store.
