She works from home and while she has some time during work, she uses it to play games, read books, and watch videos. The larger screen size definitely helps.

It works perfect for what I need it to do and the battery life is pretty great! I did by an external memory card, which I think is a great option. Apple is only limited to its internal memory. Great display and operating. Highly recommend!!

Nice reliable tablet

I have 2, one I purchased the original magnetic cover but not a fan but it's pretty. The other has a nerf like kids cover. I use this mostly for streaming security camera footage or internet browsing. No issue yet but my only dislike, i really wish the buttons weren't so flush, otherwise great. Battery life is also fantastic.

Beware of excessive ads

I purchased this and after setting it up for my girlfriend i loaded her favorite show House. When watching we got a 1 minute 30 second ad, then we skipped forward 10 seconds and got another 1 minute 30 seconds ad. My girlfriend hates commercials of any type, she doesn't listen to the radio because of commercials. So this Christmas gift was a complete dud.

Posted .Hello Nateshuntsvegas! Thank you so much for providing feedback on your experience with your new Fire tablet. While there are on screen ads occasionally on the front lock screen due to this being a discounted ad supported tablet (which you can remove for a one time fee by going to your Amazon profile online) the ads you are referring to are completely separated from the tablet. Each different subscription based streaming service app (ie. Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc) have ad based subscription options based on your membership level and are completely dependent on what you are subscribed to. There are also numerous free streaming apps available (ie. PlutoTV, FreeVee, Crackle, etc) that are typically free because they are ad based. Those are also exclusive to the specific app you are using and not a feature of the tablet itself. So depending on the app service you are using, there may be ads from that specific service and not from tablet alone. I do hope this clears up any confusion surrounding these types of services and also gives you multiple different choices to search for that may better fit the apps you would like to use and allows you to better enjoy your device.
