I decided not to mess with the warranty. I switched to a different brand that has a LCD display of the unit's status and software that it's easy that also let's you monitor the unit's status. So far, those are working well.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have used battery back-up systems in the past, you know that after a few years the battery in the device will go bad. Usually the simple, and much cheaper option, is to just replace the battery because the unit itself still works fine. This is one of the few models from this manufacturer that does not allow the user to self replace the battery. Because of this, I would recommend another product from this manufacturer.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. The BN450M doesn't have a user replaceable battery because usually it isn't much more to purchase a new UPS compared to purchasing the replacement battery. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Most of our larger UPS would allow the user to replace the internal battery. Also on a positive note when purchasing a new UPS, it would come with a 3 year warranty on it while the internal battery would only come with a 1 year warranty.
