Customers recognize the 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display for its exceptional display, user-friendly interface, and solid performance. Many users rave about the stunning 5K display, calling it "utterly gorgeous" and "fantastic." The fusion drive is also well-received for its smooth operation. While some users find the price reasonable, others consider it expensive. Additionally, a few users mention a learning curve when transitioning from a PC and some have concerns about the keyboard's visibility in low light.

Outstanding picture and extremely fast boot up. This is my first apple computer. I purchased this size because you can upgrade the ram yourself without taking the front screen apart like the smaller size monitors. It takes a little getting used to compared to my window 7 hp machine. I did have to buy a new printer. I have 3 others printers that are not compatable. I can't get rid of my HP machine because the software I have and like of course are not compatable. I also had to get Office 365 the apple version$$. I haven't had it long enough to decide if I made an expensive mistake. I would recommend this to friend if they had an extra -2 grand laying around burning a hole in their pocket.

Excellent Mac desktop value. The monitor has plenty of screen real estate. The fusion drive is a true hybrid of SATA and solid state drives and a good compromise between the two.

I had originally bought the 4K model since it was on sale but it just ran slow since it had the regular hard drive. I went home set it up and was eh ok with it. I then saw the 5K with fusion drive on sale for about $600 more... I basically packed the 4K model up and immediately returned it and got this one! This machine is so awesome! It is my first iMac purchase and I don't regret it at all! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!

I use this computer every day for about everything it is built to do. From watching videos to editing photography to creating digital paintings as well as writing assignments and editing web pages. The display is amazing, so much so that your eyes will need some adjusting. Graphics and refresh rate are what I bought it for but it does so much more.

Very impressed! I have always been a Windows person but after having use my iPad for a couple of years decided to at least look at the Mac desktops when the time came to replace my window's system. I find the Mac to be very easy to transition to and it works seamlessly with my other Apple devices such as my I-phone and of course the iPads. The Wi-Fi is lightning fast and the screen images are just beautiful. So bottom line is I love it so far and if you're jumping from windows it's very simple to acclimate to. Also if you are considering going with The 2 TB verse 1 TB there is like a $300 difference, you could simply just add an external hard drive for a lot less money. I had an extra no hard drive on my window system and simply added it to the Mac and I use it as a back up. So bottom line is I love it, the only thing I didn't care for was the wireless keypad, it was just too small for me and I did purchase the wired Apple keyboard and I am very satisfied. Great system, you won't be disappointed!

This product is as awesome as I would expect any apple product to be but the sleep mode is defective. It freezes in sleep mode to where I have to force power off OR it turns on in the middle of the night with the a loud start-up tone. I still ❤️ Apple but want it fixed.

I am still finding things that have changed since my last computer purchase. The only thing that I have to get used to so far is that there is no internal DVD drive. Purchasing an external DVD drive should take care of that.

Truly amazing! The screen is great for editing pics and videos. Smooth operation! Boots up really quick! Definitely get the fusion drive version worth it. I went with the 27in because the available ram upgrade that could be done by yourself. The 20 in imac dose not offer that. I am glad that I did because the size of the screen makes spending long hours working on video and pictures worth it.

Goodbye Windows

We have been Windows users forever, probably back to the 80's/90's. Yes, that puts us in our 60's. When it came time to move to Windows 8/10 - we just didn't want to anymore. Tired of dealing with viruses, updates, etc. Everyone we knew with an Apple/Mac had been very happy We read and questioned a lot. Including a Geek Squad friend which simply told us "Once you go Mac, you never go back". That pretty much sealed the deal. We took the plunge about a month ago and are overwhelmingly happy. We even bought a Visual iMac book from amazon instead of the dummies kind. It's actually been quite easy to navigate after the first week. The screen is beautiful. The system is fast. And no more tower on the desk to collect dust with the fan constantly running. We really checked out the solid state disk drive before making the decision. Thinking about not having that tower with a physical hard drive and CD/DVD drives was a little hard to imagine but it turns out that we don't miss them at all. We do have an external drive that we just plug into the USB port in the back which allowed us to move all of the data via CD from Windows to iMac. One Note: This brand new version "El Capitan" came with a one year free Kapersky virus protection but there is apparently a bug in that software which has not been fixed yet which meant that the version Best Buy gave us wouldn't run on "El Capitan". We researched and found that WebRoot virus protection would work so Best Buy refunded us on Kaspersky and gave us WebRoot instead - No problem! The wireless keyboard and mouse are really nice too. We just had to get used to not having the numbers on the right side of the keyboard. And the nice little tone when mail comes in or the machine goes to sleep is very pleasing as well. Extremely happy with the purchase!
