On paper this was exactly what I needed. Until I heard it. I know most wireless speaker systems add signal processing to help the audio “fit” their speaker better. This was horrible. Low end was way over powering. Top end was thin and distorted even at low volumes. I’ll put it this way. You will get better sound quality out of a Wonderboom 3. Which I returned it for. It really did not work to my needs. All it does it play music, check weather. If you need it to do more, you need to buy more from apple. It's just too much for the price. Sometimes it would not listen when I would ask it to shut off.

Best Buy has a huge quality control issue with their open box items. The HomePod that was in the box had a different serial # than what is printed on the box. Makes service and returns impossible to get.

Very dissappointed in these. These speakers have no body to them. Just treble with no bass. Tried using two for home audio but they do not deliver. Spend your money on a true sound bar if youre considering using these for the “stereo” setup.

I’ve been really happy with the Apple HomePod (2nd Generation) Smart Speaker with Siri. The sound quality is surprisingly powerful and clear, especially for music and podcasts. It connects easily with other Apple devices, and using Siri to control music, set timers, or control smart home devices is really convenient. The Midnight color also looks sleek and fits nicely with most setups. It’s a great smart speaker if you want strong sound and easy integration with the Apple ecosystem.

In my case I purchased an Open Box Homepod (2nd Generation) and I experienced some interruptions when playing music with Spotify, It was really annoying and because of that I had to return it.

If Spotify worked on this device it wouldve been a keeper! But apple has beef with every tech company so only apple music works. Big thumbs down.

Bought this as a what said “excellent” open box. Suppose to be gone over by the geek squad. Opened it and it was not set to factory setting. It was dirty and definitely not excellent condition. Unfortunately it was a gift for my son so I have to make it work.

I pre orderded this item before it was released. I received the item jan of 2023. I stopped working once i moved it from location. I kept getting set up failed. I went to best buy today to get it checked and turns out i had applecare however the serial number on my homepod didnt match my original receipt. so now i cant get it fixed. DO NO PURCHASE online. There is obviosly people changing the products

Took days to connect to phone… it still does not recognize voices. Bought it to replace Alexa but so far its just an over price speaker

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I purchased a second HomePod after buying my first one and thinking it sounded bad; what a waste of money. Seriously, a cheap google mini or echo thing sounds better than these do all day long. The bass is pathetic, no mids and the voice quality is horrendous. Then, after realizing how poorly the speakers sound, I'm even less impressed by Siri and/or whatever junk software, they have stuffed into these. In a houseful of Apple products, these are an absolute FAIL.

Looks nice, works great with other apple products. Lame part is that you cant connect the homepod to just any bluetooth tv. TCL not compatible

It is not easy to set, and works only with one device. I am not sure I would have gotten it

I purchased this a little over a year ago. Today, my 2nd gen HomePod no longer powers on and is bricked. I haven’t updated it or touched it. The issues of old are clearly still a risk with gen 2. I have a $330 brick now out of warranty.

Terrible item. Does not work without being plugged in as well as needing Wi-fi.
