Mac Mini with M2 Chip WOW
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my 12 year old iMac 24" because it would no longer get updates to Mac OS and was running so slow. Apple finally forced me to upgrade. The Mac mini with the M2 chip really was the way to go and saved me a lot of money over the cost of a new iMac. So hopefully I am good for another 12 years of OS updates. I paired it with a new 24" HP monitor. I did add a Satechi dock because of the minimal ports on the back of the Mac Mini, also for ease of use. Set up and data transfer was a breeze. The M2 chip is a real improvement over the old Intel chip in the iMac. I chose 512 GB model over 16GB RAM beause of cost. Plus Apple uses RAM differently than Intel. I don't run any memory intensive software like photo or video editng, so RAM did not matter. I was sorry to see my old faithful iMac go, but it's time had come. Sadly I got a $60 gift card from BB for " recycling" it, hence the addition of the Satechi dock.

Just as good as an iMac
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my 14 year old iMac for my home desktop. The speed and memory storage are amazing and it is considerable less expensive than a new iMac would have been. Had to buy a separate monitor and small camera for zoom meetings, which added about $200 to the total. Still much less costly than a new iMac and working perfectly! Kept my mouse, keyboard and speakers.

OBSESSED AND IMPRESSED
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previously, I had a $2K MacBook Pro that I had been using since college, and it had a full hard drive and was slowing down. I already had a monitor, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Mouse, which made it all the more appealing. It is more than enough for a graduate MBA student who sits at their desk all day using multiple applications. I barely use the MacBook anymore and opt for this extremely fast and compact computer that can do everything and more. I would opt for the lower SSD to save money and use an external hard drive that's cheaper. If you are on the fence about buying this or a higher end unit, don't worry its more than enough!!!!!!

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit for office work consisting of Word processing, connectivity to our network shares, video conferencing, and occasional photo and video edits. This M2 version of the Mac Mini meets and almost exceeds expectations performing in this environment. Everything is very fast and responsive. The few things that would let me give this computer a 5/5 would be: 16GB of RAM standard at this price point, better speakers (they're terrible!!), and more USB-C or USB ports in the rear or the front. Overall, this computer is fantastic.

Happy I bought the Mac mini.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Mac mini is replacing a late 2015 iMac. Meaning the performance and speed is outstanding by comparison. I had a great display already so buying another iMac wasn't necessary. The set up is very easy and took no time at all once you enter your wifi password and Apple ID. I bought it online and picked it up from the Best Buy lockers. That process couldn't be easier. Overall I am happy with the Mac mini and buying it from Best Buy was more convenient and cheaper than buying it from Apple.

Fast processing and a really simple to use. Not to mention, we love how space saving the device is. Our desk looks clean and simple. I would highly recommend getting this if you want to save some money and want to still have the Mac system.

Love my mini
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been an Apple fan since they first came out. I have had just about every Apple product at one time or another, and have loved every one of them. This is my first mini and I'm really glad I made the switch. It's miles faster than my 2013 iMac, and with the added freedom using either my 43-inch or 65-inch TV as its monitor. I would recommend an external hard drive if you go with a lesser memory model, but other than that, it's everything and more I could want from my desktop.

Total Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a web developer, even at 8GB, this M2 Mini functioned perfectly as a separate remote work PC, definitly an upgrade in speed when i compared it to my i9 Macbook Pro w/ 16GB of RAM. Would've loved just a few more Ports.

Better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I run Logic Pro with plug-ins, and Final Cut Pro. Worked great on my old iMac with 32Gb of memory, a fusion drive, i7 processor. Since I couldn't update it past Catalina I decided to try out a Mac Mini. The M2 chip and 8Gb of memory so far is handling it just fine. I've only run 10 tracks in Logic so I can't speak to how many you can go before it would have an issue but so far so good. EZ Drummer and Xvox Pro working fine. Did a Multi-cam video in FCP without issue. So far, so good.

Your ultimate solution to a slow computer!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new Mac mini Desktop. I was previously working off an old Mac from 2015 and have taken really great care of it that I didn't need a new monitor but my hard drive was struggling to keep up with the times. This was such a great solution allowing me to maintain my Mac screen but upgrade the the drive. Now my processing speed is so much faster and my productivity has increased as a result.

Everything Is Working So Far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has been working great so far. I just use it for checking e-mail, paying bills, and online shopping, nothing too processor-intensive. Got a littled worried when I first booted up because the video was all wonky, but I was using a 15-year-old monitor and the cheapest HDMI to DVI cable I could find, so I'm blaming them. Once it booted up all the way the video figured itself out and I haven't had any issues since. Setup was pretty painless, so it was pretty quick to get up and running.

Which Mac to Buy?
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been trying to figure out which Mac to upgrade to since our old one was on its last legs. We had been waiting for the iMac 24” to switch to the 2nd generation processor but our computer wasn’t going to get there before the change was made. So, we decided to replace it with this mini Mac that had a second generation M2 chip and a separate monitor. Needless to say, we couldn’t be happier. While the Mac monitors are gorgeous, the 27” HP monitor we paired with it wasn’t to shabby and quite a bit less. The new processor more than fills any day to day activities in our house. Transferring the files from the old computer was also straightforward and we were back up and running in no time. While a complete iMac is easier, if you are looking for more flexibility in your final computer layout and to use existing keyboards and trackpad you already have, give this computer a chance.
