Customers often highlight the Mac mini's ease of use, compact size, and overall performance as significant advantages. The price point and compatibility with other Apple devices are also appreciated. However, some customers express concerns about the limited and non-upgradeable RAM, as well as the hard drive's capacity and speed.

The computer is solid, I though that maybe with only 4gbs of ram it'll lag or be slow at times. It seems to run decently and I haven't had any major issues running everyday stuff for which I bought it for. It's a nice entry mac for beginners or a second mac as a desktop if you've got the macbook.

This works as a great Mac for someone new to the Mac OS system. I use it for basic things connected my my tv, from web browsing, to multimedia, photos and music. It could be a little faster but it's not the highest model. It does what I need it to.

The Mac Mini is the perfect desktop for anyone who still has a good monitor and keyboard, but wants to dump the old bulky tower and get a fast, easy to use Apple computer. My Core i7 Mini can handle anything I need as a professional computer for my work as a professor, yet it is easy enough to use that my 99 year old father also has a basic MacMini.

The Mac mini was purchased as a replacement for an outdated Mac mini. The compact design is great and convenient and you can use your own monitor. Make sure you have the correct adapter or monitor though. I had to go back and purchase one.

I got this product for my mom who has always had a PC and has been having issues with her PC not responding, going slow, etc. Now that she has the Mac Mini, she's excited about the speed and how easy it is to use. We recommend this product!

Love the Mac mini. I'm a first time Mac buyer and I love it. Great product for the price. If you have other apple product, they all play well with each other. Downside is its sometimes take a little Linder to load things up but once you do it once everything seems to go smoothly.

Bought this for my father for a home computer. It is a simple computer that connects with any monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Gives you the power of an apple computer while still saving some money. He has had 0 issues and best buy had it in stock in the store which was nice.

Love these guys. This one performs extremely well. It's replacing a mac mini that runs an entire business's Point of Sales system, and even then I would have kept the old mac mini (2006), but the software update made them obsolete. The old one still retails for like, $200 on the aftermarket. These are quiet little workhorses.

This little machine has great value for a cheap OSX experience. You pay a little more than a windows pc, but it'll save you a lot of headache down the road. I got this for my parents just so I don't have to reformat their computers every 6 months or so, due to viruses.

This is a great way to get into a mac for not a lot of money. This is our 2nd one. Our first one we use as a media server around the house for music, movies, recipes, and for backup. This one will be for business stuff. Best yet, you can just hook it up to a TV and use it with a wireless keyboard and mouse. So no NEED for a desk or computer monitor.

Wanted another Mac computer but didn't want to put a lot of money into it. Already had a monitor and mouse so the price was an economical way to have another Apple workstation. The Mac Mini is easy to set up and is running great! We are pleased with our purchase.

This was purchased for my Mom, a long time PC user. She was doing all her online activity on her iPhone because she thought it was easier to use and trusted it more. She really wanted an Apple laptop but wasn't sure she'd use it. This was a great introduction computer for her and perfect for her needs.

When I first thought of the "mac mini" I was thinking it was going to be the size of an AppleTV or a little larger. However, I realized after opening it that it wouldn't make sense if an actual computer was the size of AppleTV! :) This is a great alternative if you don't want to have all of the other Apple products or if you want to just test websites, etc. on an apple device.

I love the size and accessibility of this device. When I found out it did not come with a keyboard and mouse I was a little wary until the salesperson told me my old ones would be compatible. I also love the Bluetooth and 4 USB ports as well as hdmi allowing it to connect to any one of my televisions.

Bought this a few weeks ago to replace an aging desktop PC. Really like the compactness of it. Wished it booted up as fast as my MacBook Pro Retina, but it works well for what I want. Purchased this to have a PC that family and friends can use, and for files that I don't want on my mobile laptop.

I purchased this Mac Mini for my son, and I was initially concerned that this computer would not have the processing power or memory required to run as well as other Macs that I have. I have been impressed with how well this base Mac Mini performs, however. El Capitan makes efficient use of the memory, and even with opening a large amount of browser tabs, and having several applications running in the background, I was surprised to find that it was able to handle it with ease.
The only weakness this Mac Mini has, is the slow 5400rpm drive, which will give the impression that the computer is sluggish and slow. A quick fix was adding an external SSD boot drive via USB3. This machine went from being just ok to exceptional after the addition of the SSD. If you decide to go this route, which I recommend, be sure you pick up an external USB3 case that supports UASP, as this will allow you to utilize the SSD drives speed. Currently we boot off the SSD and run time machine backups to the encrypted internal drive.
