I haven't always been an apple fan, but after some time with an iPad I decided if I was going to get a computer it would be an apple. After purchasing my MacBook Pro 13 3.1 ghz touch bar I instantly fell in love with it. It was so easy to set up, I never had to adjust any settings to make it work right, it just worked right after I signed in with my Apple ID. I use my computer primarily for school and it runs fast and reliable which is what I need. As much as I use to love windows, I can never see myself going back to a pc. I was even reluctant to get Microsoft office, but since I get it for free I did install it. NOW as far as hardware goes I am absolutely amazed. The touch bar is extremely useful, as sometimes I cant spell the words I attempt to type, it pops them up with correct spelling and I just tap to fill in whatever I was trying to type. A lot of new computers have touch screens, it seems the touch bar compensates for the usefulness of a touch screen without the added effort of having to clean fingerprints all of the time. The physical durability of the computer is amazing. I am in love with the solid state drive. I have accidentally dropped the computer against a table and into the floor and I really did expect it to be broken, but it turned out to work just fine with a small dent in the corner. There are just few nicks on the corners of my computer from the falls, but the computer continues to work great. Another noteworthy feature is the extremely loud and clear speakers which are amazing for such a small device. Overall the 2017 MacBook Pro 13 3.1 ghz is probably the best purchase I have made.

Thought I'd never own a MacBook as I was HP fan. But this MacBook has changed my opinion about MacBooks. It is easy to navigate. Light weight. Love the new keys on the keyboard! Starts up very quickly. And oh...the TouchBar...LOVE IT! Love the Dock at the bottom as it really does come in handy and your desktop is not all cluttered with shortcut icons. And it very easy to add or remove programs. Yes it has taken a little bit of time to get the hang of the way things are done when you open a program but I think it is a much better. And once I got use to the "title" of a program...like "Finder" being what Microsoft computers name "File Explorer"...it was so easy to use. The updated Touchpad is wonderful! It is very responsive to the lightest touch and you can set it up in different variations according to your likes. You can't go wrong with this laptop!

I bought this laptop with the intentions of using it primarily for all computer related things for my YouTube channel. Specifically iMovie to edit as I am a newbie and am not ready to fork over the money for Final Cut Pro yet lol. This is my first experience with a Mac laptop. I do have an iPhone and an iPad as well. It works seamlessly with all of my Apple devices and really makes the video editing and file transfer process a breeze (I was originally shooting videos with my iPhone 7 Plus)! I originally thought the electronic touch toolbar at the top would be a fancy add on that I really would not use but I find myself using it all the time! Especially in iMovie and when writing video descriptions. I think it is a very nifty feature and love that it is included in this model. I have zero complaints and am very happy with my purchase! Without it I know I would not be able to do all the things I’d like to do for my channel.

Know that there is no upgrading once you’ve purchased it. Everything from battery, to RAM, to SSD is soldered in. Other than that, it is very snappy and fluid. The Touch Bar is not necessary but a welcome way to control things in, for example, Logic Pro. I imagine the TB is also great for video and visual programs. It is sleek and light. Other MacBook Pro users asked if it was an Air, it is so thin. Easy to carry around.

This Macbook pro is the perfect size as well as very thin. This makes it convenient to use while on the go. It is fast and lasts a long time. The only con is it does not have a USB port so you will have to buy an adapter to have one. Other than that it is great and the touch bar is great access for use. Highly recommend.

Pros: Keyboard Layout - Easy to adapt Touch bar Touch ID Great battery life Slim design USB C Ports Cons: Price I bought this laptop for my personal use and this is my first Mac book. Performance is excellent as a moderate user and programmer. Initially I was under impression USB C would give me some trouble but after using it is amazing of course with additional adaptor. Touch ID works like a pro when compared to other finger print in PC. Price is little higher when compared to non touch bar. $300 more for little touch bar, extra processing speed, 1 additional mic and extra 2 USB C ports. Overall Price is equal to Surface or XPS or Other high end products.

It is light, fast, easy to use. This is my first Apple PC. I've used other PCs over 25 years for work/personal use. Finally purchased a MAC after seeing the MacBook I bought for my daughter starting college in 2010--run without ANY issues all this time. I was needing my 3rd PC in the same amount of time.... This MacBook Pro w/touch bar is amazing. I purchased Apple Care because I really thought I would need help getting up and running and didn't want to bother my daughter (haven't needed to call Apple once since so easy to use). Also, I am a klutz and protection for 3 years really made me feel better about buying this higher priced PC. (no accidents yet). Both the Apple and Best Buy staff onsite were extremely knowledgeable and patient having answered my questions for days before I made my purchase. Have fun!!!

Just upgraded from an old MB Air to new MB Pro and I am very happy I made the move. The screen is awesome and the speed is amazing compared to what I am used to. I was skeptical about the touch bar but I really glad I made the choice to go with it. I travel a lot and the 13" size and weight are perfect. I highly recommend this machine!

I am already a big Apple products fan. When I first switched from a HP laptop to my first MacBook I finally understood why there is such a buzz around MacBooks vs any other brand (I already had vaio, HP and acer). It was so fast and would never get present problems. So mu husband gave me the new MacBook Pro 13" with the touch bar as an early Xmas gift and I thought that it couldn't get better then my old air but was a gift so... I was wrong! I don't know how to explain but yes, they improved what was already perfect! It's fast, either to turn on or off and also to load files, to connect to the internet and the touch bar is just such an useful tool that makes my life easier! Not mentioning the design with the new space gray color... looks so fancy! lol We decided to purchase at Best Bay because of past positive experiences and we didn't regret! I had a little trouble setting up my new macbook and their geek squad was promptly ready to help! I do recommend the product and also the services, always a pleasant experience w them! :)

New MAC Book Pro is very fast and easy to use. Touch bar is an amazing innovation and switches the context really fast. It’s very slim and light in weight, fits comfortably in hand. I love this product.

This is my second MacBook Pro and I’m really liking it. My first was the 15” model and I don’t miss the screen size. The 13” is great and feather light compared to the old one. I went with touch bar because it had more Thunderbolt ports other wise I wouldn’t have bothered with. Now that I have it I’m glad I made the purchase. It is very handy. If you use an iPad as much as I do having the bar is second nature. It really does a lot for whatever program your in. I’d buy it again!

I was skeptical about the Touch Bar, however it is a very neat feature. As usual it is a powerful machine. Touch ID works even faster than in iPhones. For some reason the Retina Display seems sharper than previous models. Battery lasts about 12 hours in just typical situation, internet browsing, videos, running several programs. I updated from a MacBook 12, and it was the best decision. Since that model used to get too hot all the time. Hope this helps!

I have to say that this new MacBook Pro is sleek, fast and full of great new features like touchbar BUT, be prepared to stock up on adapters. At the very least you’ll need an adapter for USB input and forget about plugging your new lighting headphones in because there’s no spot for them either. From the minute I pulled it out of the box the reality of the Thunderbolt only ports hit me. I get it- but to not even have a lightning port for my APPLE headphones seems a bit silly. Stop making these exclusive ports or start including some standard adapters. With the $1800 price tag, I think you can afford to throw a Thunderbolt to USB in there. I would have given this 5 stars but the port situation is highly inconvenient.

Purchased this for my girlfriend's birthday to use in graduate school. Says this is the best gift she has ever received. The touch bar is really convenient, battery life is excellent, and the processor is so much more powerful than her old HP Pavilion. Highly recommended, which means a lot coming from someone who owns ZERO Apple products.

This is by far the best laptop on the market. It is really fast and never has problem lagging during downloads depending on your wifi connection. The touch-bar can be unnecessary, but if you run art or editing programs that touch-bar is very useful, overfull if you want the touch-bar it is still very useful for basic programs like safari or google chrome. Overall the laptop is the best on the market and the 13 inch size is perfect for backpacks and carrying around and compared to the air or regular Macbook the performance is much better.

So far works great. I've had my previous macbook pro for 8 years, by the way. The touchbar is way more multifunctional than I thought. Light weight, good battery. Nice keyboard. Ot would be nice if there was at least one usb port though.

I really like this MacBook Pro. It is super thin and very light weight. It is very fast and the screen resolution its beautiful.The stereo sound coming from the speakers is fantastic! I have the one with the touch bar and really like the finger print function. The touch bar adds to the full experience. My only drawback would be the lack of ports and omission of the optical drive. I guess this was necessary because of how thin this Mac is. I for one would buy this Mac again especially because of the deal I got at Best Buy!

I "downsized" from a 2011 15" to a brand new 13" MacBook Pro and absolutely love it. It is so lightweight yet does all I need and more. I'm learning to use the Touch Bar feature and love the Siri button.

I’m a college student and just upgraded from a 2012 MacBook Pro. This one is so much faster and lighter. Was definitely questioning the touch bar but love it. It’s really cool and useful.
