I purchased the latest 2019 MacBook Pro 13’ June 20, and so far I’m loving it. The keyboard feels amazing and the screen looks amazing same with the space grey color way I picked. Only problem I have is that Best Buy included a 6 month membership to a virus’s security, and 3 months of Apple Music but that is no where to be found. The only thing they told me was that it was going to be emailed and that’s after I asked about that. So far more then 10 hours after purchase I havent gotten a email about that. They didn’t even tell me that Info. So I’m asking for help. How do I receive the 6 months of virus protection and the 3 months of Apple Music?????

It’s been a while I have been waiting for a good deal for Macbook Pro and finally I got it on Black Friday. I switched from an i3 Windows laptop. Definitely feel the difference. Performance, display and sound are really great. I love this one and will recommend it for my friends.

Great laptop for college students!

Ive had this laptop for almost a year now throughout college and it has withstood everything I have thrown at it. From rendering videos on DaVinci Resolve to downloading games on steam, and I can tell you now that it does all of that wish ease and very quickly. I have had no issues with it at all honestly and I hope for none to come. There is only one little thing that bothered my though, which was the ports only being USB-C. Other than that small thing, its perfect for college students or beginning video editors and photographers.

Considering this is the new MacBook Pro I expected the features to be a lot more efficient and mature than the past models. The structure of the computer is very well and durable also when it comes to surfing the web MacBook is very fast depending on what Wi-Fi you have. The only downside to this computer is the App Store because you have a very limited amount of choices choose from

Upgrade from a 2012 MacBook Pro

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro and have loved it for my education purposes. It is still going strong today. I started experiencing slower processing speeds and shorter times between battery charges. I didn’t investigate the slower processing issue very far because, being a 3rd year professional student, I wanted to upgrade to a newer model anyway. It is still a great devise though. Upgrading from my 2012 model to this 2019 model has been the best decision I could have made. This version is super fast and the added Touch Bar with print ID is amazing! The 2019 model has all my favorite features from my older model plus many new ones. It is much thinner, lighter weight and the space gray color is awesome. I have had my new MacBook Pro for a little over 2 weeks now and am still amazed at how quickly I can move between tasks. The only one possible negative I can come up with is that the charging cord length is quite a bit shorter than my old one, since this one didn’t come with an extension. So far it has not been an issue for me though. I am beyond pleased with my purchase through Best Buy and highly recommend this computer for students. The MacBook Pro definitely has a higher price tag than other brand laptops, but it is worth every bit of its price in quality, features, ease of use, dependability and long life. If you’re like me, and use other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, AppleTV) also, it makes life easier being able to keep all your files and data in sync across multiple devices. I can start a word document on my laptop in class, and continue it on my phone while I’m waiting in line to pick my kids up at school. I can start watching a movie at home, and finish it on my lunch break at school. I can’t imagine a better set up for keeping my busy life organized and easily accessible from anywhere I happen to be.

Keyboard finally fixed!

Butterfly keyboard was reported to be fixed so I scoured the internet trying to find at least one case of a failing keyboard on these new 2019 MBP’s and could not find one single case. So I decided to buy it. I carry one slim dongle for HDMI out and USB 3.0 ports, so it’s not that big a deal. I last owned a 2013 MBP and this one is not only thinner, but smaller in length/width as well due to the smaller screen bezel. Apple is finally learning that they can gouge their customers, but there is a limit. The 2018 MBP line was about 100% overpriced imo, but the 2019’s are back at a 30-50% overpricing. I’m willing to pay that to remain in the OSX environment (plus I installed windows 10 via boot camp).
I bought this with a consideration to return it, but I never did and I don’t regret it one bit. I also thought 8GB of ram would not be enough, but I’ve been able to run InDesign, Photoshop, H.265 videos, etc with no problems. I’ve also tried gaming that would run terribly on my 2013 MBP, but runs smoothly on this.

Much better version than the 2017 model!

I purchased the 2017 model first and hated the keyboard (which made terrible sound and had an uncomfortable feel when typing). Also having just 2 usb ports was a bummer.
This model is much better. The keyboard has been improved by Apple and now I like it better than the traditional one. 4 usb ports are enough for my needs: a usb flash drive, the usb keyboard, the usb mouse and whatever else.
This laptop is very light and slim, and the speakers are very loud.
What I also like a lot is the touch-bar, which you can customize. The functions are not imposed on you, and you can even control websites and apps on it.
The new space gray color option is a good thing too.
Overall, I like the upgrade (I had a 2015 Macbook Pro before), but, the only thing I must say, is that earlier models felt steadier and had this "forever" feel. This computer is a bit fragile, but I hope it won't break:)

The Best MacBook Pro Ever!

I bought this MacBook Pro after trading in my 2016 non-touch bar MacBook Pro. This is the best MacBook Pro apple has ever made.
The performance is simply amazing, and it is ready for anything. The Quad-Core i5 processor makes every thing feel really fast and this computer is a powerhouse. The display is very bright and has rich colors that make photos and text look very nice. The display on this MacBook Pro is much better than the display on the MacBook Air.
The keyboard is very nice to type on, and it is much improved over the keyboard that was in the 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pros.
The touch bar is really nice, and I love how it provides typing suggestions. It is also great for scrolling between photos and switching tabs in safari. Having Touch ID also allows you to unlock the computer very quickly.
I would highly recommend this computer to anyone who is upgrading from an older MacBook Pro.

I have had this laptop a few weeks now and here’s my quick review.
Quick and powerful computer for the person looking for a laptop to handle whatever you throw at it from a professional stand point. Graphic designers to photo editors, this has what you’re looking for. With its fast processor and solid state drive, this computer has no issues multi tasking.
Few complaints I have, which honestly are not a big deal. Soldered in ram and ssd hard drive, so unable to upgrade, but not an issue if you just go to the ssd and ram that suits you, No USBs, Only thunderbolt connections, but they have great adapters to fix that, and it comes with memory card reader, usb 3.0, thunderbolt, and even an HDMI connector for mirroring or projecting.

Best MacBook within the last few years

About a month ago I purchased the 2018 model of this same MacBook. Without knowing, Apple just decided to drop the 2019 version in May. I decided to return the 2018 version as it was getting extremely hot doing just basic computer functions like safari, mail calendars or viewing photos in the photos app. I tried to render video in after effects or premier and the computer would get extremely hot on the bottom and also the Touch Bar.
Now, this 2019 version gets a little warm but I have pushed this thing further than my last Mac and it doesn’t get nearly as how. I will also address the keyboard issue. This keyboard feels a lot more stable and it is also quieter. Overall great computer. Highly recommend going with the Touch Bar. It sounds like a gimmick at first, and it is. But once you get used to the Touch Bar, you’ll find productivity to be a lot easier and faster.

Top Notch Laptop

I’m a long term Mac user and most recently had a MacBook Air. We also have an iMac for a desktop which is fairly recent. Decided to take the plunge on the MacBook Pro since it had good reviews. First of all it’s much thinner than I expected which is a plus in my book. Build quality is great and I got it in the space gray and it’s a good look. The speed is blistering fast on this machine. Faster than my iMac and faster than any laptop I’ve used before. The touch at, which I thought was a gimmick, is actually very useful. Not quite yet sold on only USB-C ports, but not limiting me at this point. The touch pad seems a tad less responsive than on previous Macs I’ve had, but I’m getting used to it. My ink real gripe so far is the opening-the-screen-to-start-it-up feature. As soon as you open it, the machine boots up. I want a button. It’s like auto start/stop on a car - hate it. Great machine, great customer service at my Best Buy.

Probably used the wrong work in the title as Apple calls it a MacBook...but the other two words are true. It is GREAT...small, yet big enough to have a readable screen with "senior" eyes; COMPACT and lightweight, yet more powerful and faster than my old other brand desktop. Great device!

Happy with my purchase

The last Macbook Pro that I purchased ended up lasting for 10 years (with only a change to an SSD and an upgrade of memory, so not too shabby), but it eventually got to the point that the OS version I was running couldn't keep up with the requirements of the programs, so it was time to upgrade. I was blown away by how much thinner and more compact this Macbook Pro was, and it loads up quickly without any issues. I also have enjoyed the Sidecar feature that allows me to use my Ipad Pro more or less like a fancy Wacom Cintiq. I am not a huge fan of the touch bar yet - I kind of miss having that physical escape button, and I will say that typing on the keyboard is a little strange since the keys don't travel as far (who would have though that makes a difference for typing!), but I am sure I will adjust to those things as I continue to get acclimated with the computer. If this computer lasts half as long as my last MBP, I will be a very satisfied customer.

I purchased this because I have always wanted a MacBook, and to add one more device in my house for my kids to complete their schoolwork on. It is very user friendly, my 12 year old works on it without any problems. It operates quickly and charges very fast as well.

Got this as an open box for a steal. Great device! I always thought the Touch Bar was kinda gimmicky, but after using it for Final Cut and other software that utilizes it, it’s so convenient and can actually add quite a bit of functionality. I love it! I wish I would have gotten the 512GB storage model tho as that 256GB drive fills up quick.
Super compact, feels great, I’m still not a huge fan of the keyboard, but you get used to it.
