The pencil works very well with my iPad Air. I recommend it.

Not so sure of my Apple Pencil Pro. The tip will not screw all the way on and doesn’t seem to do the things it is supposed to do. I might have to take it back after Christmas.
Best buy scammed me and sent me a brick of plastic

Best Buy delivered a brick of plastic, which was obviously not an apple pencil. The image of the delivered parcel was clear, and when I attempted to return it, the store would not take it. I finally got a return label and hope that I am not charged...

I purchased an open box in excellent condition and received an apple pencil with stains and it won't pair. Best Buy refuses to replace it even tho they advertise as:
Excellent
Works and looks like new.
Includes all original parts, packaging, and accessories (or suitable replacement)
Dont belive this its a lie

Sure, it IS my fault that I didn't check whether it was compatible with my 2 YEAR OLD iPad pro... But seriously? Apple never ceases to amaze me with this stuff. I imagine they could just have two versions of the pro with different magnet placement and make a lot more money, but what do I know?

I really wanted to love the Apple Pencil Pro because the design and features are excellent. I did run into some challenges trying to sync it to my iPad at first, but the bigger issue wasn’t the syncing, it was finding out that it’s simply not compatible with my iPad model. That part was disappointing, especially since I was originally advised to purchase this one.
That said, I’ve used this same Apple Pencil Pro on a family member’s compatible iPad, and it works beautifully. It feels premium, responsive, and the functionality is exactly what you’d expect from Apple. Honestly, I liked it so much I almost didn’t return it.
If you have the right iPad for it, I think you’ll love it, just double-check compatibility before buying. Want to know what pencil I purchased, check out my review "This Is It"

When I first got the Apple Pencil Pro, I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually use it. Now, I can’t imagine going a day without it. The sleek white design is just so clean and simple, and it feels perfectly balanced in my hand. From the moment I started using it, it felt natural—like I’d been using it forever.
Writing with the Apple Pencil Pro is so satisfying. It glides across the iPad screen smoothly, with just the right amount of friction to make it feel like a real pen on paper. I mostly use it for jotting down notes and brainstorming, and it’s honestly made me ditch traditional notebooks. Handwriting recognition is so accurate that I’ve started using it to turn my messy scribbles into text, and it works like magic. Annotating documents is another thing I’ve come to love—it makes marking up PDFs or signing forms so much easier.
I’m not an artist, but I’ve dabbled with Procreate, and the Apple Pencil Pro makes me feel like one. The pressure sensitivity is amazing; I can make thick or thin lines just by adjusting how hard I press. Shading by tilting the pencil feels so intuitive, and even though I’m no Van Gogh, I find myself sketching just for fun.
One feature that blew me away is the hover functionality. On my iPad Pro, I can see where the pencil is going to land before it touches the screen, which is a lifesaver for precision. It’s such a small thing, but it makes a big difference when I’m trying to be exact with my strokes or selecting tools.
Charging is effortless. I just snap it magnetically to the side of my iPad, and it’s always ready to go. The battery life is fantastic—I’ve never run out of charge mid-use, and even a couple of minutes on the charger gives me hours of writing or drawing.
What I didn’t expect is how much the Apple Pencil Pro has streamlined my day. It’s not just a tool for creativity; it’s my go-to for productivity. Whether I’m navigating apps, scribbling a to-do list, or marking up a presentation, it’s become an extension of my hand. It’s one of those devices that you don’t realize how much you need until you start using it, and then you wonder how you ever managed without it.

One of my favorite things is how seamlessly it integrates with the iPad mini. It snaps right onto the side, charges automatically, and stays out of the way until I need it. No cables, no hunting for accessories — it’s just always ready. The magnetic attachment feels secure, and the battery life has never been an issue because it tops off every time I put it back.
