    I like it, although it's not a necessity. Nice for taking freeform notes, but when trying to write and convert to type, I make a lot of mistakes and it takes longer than using my fingers. Battery life could be longer.

    If you're looking for a general purpose Apple pencil, this is the one. Although it does not have magnetic charging, the USB-C charging port makes it quite flexible. In other words, you don't have to rely on charging it through an iPad. Apple has a compatibility chart on their website. Just be sure to check the list for compatibility.

    Much nicer to have a charging port instead of removing the cap but I did like the ability to plug it into the iPad like the Gen1 Pencils.
