The remote is well designed, although a bit touch sensitive. 3rd generation is much better. I don't understand why the apple TV (2nd generation) doesn't have an easy way to charge the device. but recharges quickly. battery life is mediocre. I often end up using my phone for remote control.

Better than the original. This remote replaced the one that came with our AppleTV. I was hesitant to get something that wasn’t like the original. But, I’m very happy we did. This one is more substantial and easier to hold. It also has a MUTE button that was totally missing from the original. Don’t hesitate to buy this upgraded remote. Its great.

I love the new 3rd generation Remote. Easy to use We use 100% of the time. Once you have set it up. It works TV plus Apple TV. Apple TV is all we use now. All the apps are available for you Apple TV Receiver

I yave had an apple tv for years and with this new remote fixing issues such as having better recognition on the touchpad as well as the addition of button. The size is also great and am losing it alot less
