Needed a replacement after my nephew through my other remote in the trash

You’d think a remote with a solid titanium body would be able to handle a few years of gentle, general use, but no! Our old one became erratic and non-responsive and needed to be replaced. It had nothing to do with something a reset would solve. The battery was working fine, but the ring was just acting up, along with every other button available on the remote’s surface. Internal spring(s) broken? Having to buy a new Apple remote every 2-3 years sets you back about $60 each time. That is quite a bit of “spare change” for a simple accessory like a TV remote.

What’s tired of the old remote had to step up and get a new one…

I had the previous Apple TV for my system, which was horrible to use. This remote has more physical buttons, is a little bigger, and it feels better in your hand.

Had to replace an existing remote less than 3 years old. Typical Apple crap! Does this one work - yes. Will it last - probably not. Never had a bit of trouble with Roku's but wife loves her Apple junk!

Works great and easy to pair. Just be sure you have a USB-C handy… Apple updated these just like the phone so your old lightening charger won’t work anymore.

It is an improvement to the previous. It would be nice if in the future you are able to choose channels instead of scrolling through the guide.

I replaced the prior all black version of the Apple remote...it was very difficult to use when trying to rewind or fast forward a recorded or paused live show. This new Apple remote is great!! A great improvement.

Much better controllability than previous generation of remote. Much more reliable executing what you want it to execute. Additional microphone for voice control works great...

Absolutely love this new remote – for some years we have struggled with three remotes since we have a complicated system. This Apple is a dream.

I had to buy a new Apple TV remote since the last one I had disappeared into thin air and I gotta say this is one is wonderful so much better than the last.

Our original one broke and we were happy to see that Best Buy carried replacements. This one happens to be USB-C as well which was a nice surprise.

This is the best remote for the Apple box. So glad they upgraded it to be more practical! Easier to use and turn on and off!
