I purchased this because a family member had a hard time with the original Gen 1 remote. It solved that concern and this remote is much easier for both of us to use.

Pricey, but so much better than the 1st and 2nd generations of Apple Remote, that I bought one for each Apple TV I have. Works great, pairs easily.

Bought this literally just for the USB-C. Dont have to dig around for the one lightning cable i have in my house anymore when it comes time to charge this.

Nice upgrade if you have the old version, or the lightning version and wanna usb c-ify everything you own, works just like any apple remote would

Great remote, works with most apple tv boxes. My apple tv box is about 7 years old so it connected easily.

I had to get a replacement because the old one got damaged. Easy to pair and working as attended.

Great remote. I had to replace the original which got misplaced. I got a silicone holder too in a bright color so I would not lose this one.

This Apple Remote is much easier to use than the original one especially in a low light setting.

Bought to replace a previous Siri remote. Much better design—fewer accidental swipes, easier to pick a direction with physical buttons, and USB-C charging is nice future proofing.

Great remote, but the touch pad interferes with the edge buttons on the outside of touch area. needs a little more gap. But again I do like the remote!

This was the 4th Apple TV remote I had to buy due to the apple engineers thinking that a glass surfaced Apple Remote was a good idea. Thank god they finally pulled their collective heads from their anuses and designed a remote with real world capabilities and not some marvel of minimalist design that Todd and Margo would swoon for. This new version is built out of metal so when it accidentally takes a tumble off the sofa arm it won’t crack and subsequently stab shards of glass into your thumb. Buy them all now before apple engineers redesign it out of sandpaper and razor blades.

Apple quality! Works with both my Apple TVs (not at the same time). Keeping this in reserve as my son thought he broke the original.

Our Apple TV remote, mysteriously got lost. It was very convenient to pop in to Best Buy and grab this alternate newer version. Turns out it's easier to use and better functioning. Just don't feel like Apple has any reason to charge so much for it.

Great update to previous remotes. Combines touch and directional uses. Very easy to use and very well made.

By far the best Apple TV remote. Not even close to the previous versions which were not good quality. Could be more affordable.
