I like the minimum amount of buttons, makes it so much easier to use. The circle navigation can drive you nuts sometimes. It has static slow click left and right buttons for older people like me who can’t control the quickness of the circle navigation. One downfall is that they used to be charged with a standard lightning charger, this one changed to the newer c version I don’t have and no I have to buy a new cord or adapter when I have to charge it. The other downside is it is so slim and tiny that my couch eats it all of the time. I finally got an adorable cover for it to solve that problem.

There is always issue with volume control button which does not work once in a while. Need to disconnect and connect the remote frequently.

Is it compatible with 4th generation apple tv? Can someone please confirm ?

Excellent product. The price point though… whew. Will be purchasing Firesticks instead from here on out.

Work just the original one that came with apple TV. No syncing needed. Just needed to be charge.

I purchased this remote and wasn’t able to fully enjoy due to buttons kept freezing up. I was not able to change the channels or power on.

How can apple sell a remote with no means to charge it? I had to go buy a new cord as lightning cords are not compatible

Terrible remote. I have stopped using it and just rely on my phone. I am rating just the remote, not apple tv. The remote has a touch sensor. When i try to use the remote, the touch sensor makes anything i do difficult. Just the slight touch will either have the remote scrolling or willl click on something i did not mean to click. Every task i try to do with the remote involves a few more seconds of correction for the error the remote caused. The remote app on my phone works great and now that is all i use. The apple tv remote has now become a very light paperweight. They should improve or remove the touch sensor. Then it would be a fine remote. I am just so annoyed by it that i put it as one star.

Looks sleek but I'm on my second one which has also gone wrong (vol key). No food or liquid ingress. Too expensive to keep replacing one a year with an official version

YOU CANT HAVE TWO REMOTES WITH APPLE TV. SO DO NOT BUY IF YOU ALREADY HAVE KNE WORKING.
