Remote works perfectly with the Apple TV. Ease of use and smooth operation.

This is an Apple replacement remote, identical to the one you receive with new devices. However, it is well worth the money if you have the older touchpad-only remote. That remote also does not have a mute button - this does. A little pricey for just a remote, if you got a good sale, you could almost buy a new AppleTV

A huge improvement over the previous generation Apple TV Siri remote. The mute button alone makes it worth price to upgrade! Removing one star because the remote could be a little grippier. It's better than the older remote, but still it's easy to lose your grip on it and the remote has a way of finding its way between couch cushions. 4/5.

For the longest time i hated the way they made the black remote for the 2nd generation apple tv. Touch pad was prone to cracking and lagging when your fingers move too fast while scrolling. The original remote ended up getting washed in the washing machine accidentally, so ended up buying this newer generation remote and they did a great job with this one, wayyyy easier to use, still have the touch option, but also a clicking option, it now has a power on and off button, its a lot more solid and heavier than the previous remotes, the only con is the spot they stuck the mic option, but overall i wish i made this purchase wayy sooner than dealing with that second gen remote.
