Solid Titanium Remote Broken After a Few Years

Our old one became erratic and non-responsive and needed to be replaced. It had nothing to do with something a reset would solve. The battery was working fine, but the ring was just acting up, along with every other button available on the remote’s surface. Internal spring(s) broken? Having to buy a new Apple remote every 2-3 years sets you back about $60 each time. That is quite a bit of “spare change” for a simple accessory like a TV remote.

Early demise

Great improvement over prior version

This new Apple remote is great!! A great improvement.
