This is the best remote control I have ever used for TV. Quality is excellent and very easy to use. I’m really happy with this product.

Perfect replacement. I washed my Apple remote. This remote was perfect. I’ve had no problems.

It is a very nice remote; however, a little drop will shatter the face where your thumb slides across to make selections! (This is #2 after having dropped the first one.) I now keep a little rubber bumper covering on it and hope to not drop it again. (BTW: the free Apple TV app for your phone works beautifully — so much so that I almost didn’t bother replacing the remote. But, I figure if company were over, it would be awkward handing my phone to people so they could operate the TV.)

Love this remote. Pro: Apple has created a very simple to use, small footprint, one for all device. Con: easy to lose in the couch or where ever you use it. This was purchased as a replacement. Wish it allowed for more than just on/off of other entertainment equipment. I honestly miss a slightly larger more versatile remote control device so I can ditch the cellphone during family time! Wish wireless charging on top of appleTv was possible. Device works as marketed

Ok broke the 1st one. Beautiful remote like all Apple products. The size and lack of texture was a big adjustment for me. I can’t imagine an NBA player trying to work this remote. I am purchasing a protection case to help with texture an gripping issues. The Touch pad is very sensitive so it takes a minute get use to. I’ve flown pass my selections several times and had to resort to the Siri fo selection. Overall a very good product.

Going on my second remote for my Apple Tv. I love the form factor and it's simplic use. If you own or plan to own an Apple Tv, I highly recommend you get a protective case which range in price from $6 to $14. I accidentally dropped the remote on the floor and the glass section cracked and chipped. If I had a case on it, it would've saved over $60 for a replacement.

The BEST streaming product on the market. No longer do I have to download all my fabvorite TV Channels. Apple TV 4K brings the noise! I subscribed to Apple TV+ and have every app and movie channel i like inside the Apple TV+ app. Voice activated, robust and long lasting. I have five of these in my home, one for each TV. You really CANNOT go wrong.

As the only first party remote option it is a bit pricey for what it is and how easily it can be lost or broken due to its glass design. The remote pairs very easily with the Apple TV and has an unbelievable long battery life between charges.

Expensive replacement. I dropped my original one in water by accident and thought I could be okay with using my phone and tablet to control my Apple TV. I was wrong, that got old real quick so bit the bullet and bought this. My original one you could press and click the track pad but this one does not have this function, I miss that function, everything is is the same.

I love my Apple TV and this little remote is just as amazing. The only improvement to make this a perfect remote would be making it waterproof and to possibly offer bright color selections so it’s seen better. Separately, I bought a bright red silicone cover/case to find it when lost between couch cushions ect, but it was not waterproof. I’ll consider getting a watefproof version of case soon. Pros: 1. Very very long lasting battery 2. Small and efficient controls for small hands to use without needing two hands to operate. One to hold and one to press buttons. 3. The microphone hears the lowest of whispers. It’s great not to shout into a remote when everyone is trying to sleep. I can whisper with my back turned to the tv and it can hear me. 4. You can to ask a multitude of questions using the microphone button on the remote. It will tell me the weather report and the sunrise time in Japan or ask to recommendations for movies a 10 year old would enjoy. Not a con and not a pro. Sure, it’s pricey but you truly get what you pay for and for me I’ve not been disappointed in any apple product I’ve purchased...and that’s a lot. but the whole Apple TV entertainment is so much more than I imagined. The technology takes time and a lot of work and a really good design to make this hands-down the best of remotes to use for your entertainment. Cons: 1. color of remote is easily lost especially in low light areas. 2. Waterproof would be nice.

Waited for a long time for an Apple TV remote that was easy to use and works smoothly in your hand. This remote feels good and it is a breeze moving around the Apple TV interface. If you don’t have one, look at upgrading soon. You won’t regret it.

Awesome quality remote that lasts quite a while between charges, which is really quite amazing (every 3-6 months for us, just a quick charge on the phone charger.) After some use our original started to wear out on the trackpad, like too much scrolling which is why I mark it as good given the price. I feel like the material on the trackpad surface should be more resilient for hand oils and wear, as my wife and I baby our electronics (esp our Apple products!) The price is a touch expensive for something that comes with the Apple TV at really only a $100 more, seems like a rip. You pay the Apple tax though and in most cases, it lasts you. Otherwise, my suggestion to you is to buy a cheap case for it just to make it a little more visible - its small and has a habit of growing legs and crawling into our recliners or under couch cushions. They have some nice cases that will keep it scratch free and have a lanyard to help you from losing it. I swear, I'm not even that old yet and I lose it once a week!!!

I purchased a replacement remote for my Apple TV. I removed it from its casing, press the remote, and it instantly connected to the Apple TV console. User friendly. It was a little pricey. However, it was a quality purchase.

Using the Siri remote is so easy. Using it swipe between menus or photos is excellent. The ability to use Siri voice commands for searches is so much easier than swiping one letter at a time or using the Remote app on your iPhone.

The remote works great as a replacement for our Apple TV. The touchpad can be tricky for some individuals or hard to understand but once you learn how to use it, it is a breeze. It was quite expensive compared to other streaming device replacement remotes.

From the clunky to the fantastic! Apple got this remote right! Easy to use and recharge with a simple lightning plug, this remote makes using your Apple TV so simple! Love the voice command!

My original remote couldn't work so I used my iPhone to operate the Apple TV, but wasn't convenient. Bought the replacement remote and thought it might be complicated to use, but out of the box, charged it and placed next to Apple TV. Plugged in the Apple TV and it said to place remote with 4 inches. Did so and automatically and immediately paired the remote. So easy, thanks Best Buy. Now can use the Apple TV again.

Replaced a broken original... the touch pad on it is glass and we found out the hard way. Bought this to replace it and it works just like the original. It is a bit pricey, but all Apple stuff is.

The track pad is terrible and the the device is way too small. But its still the best remote for the apple TV. Haven't tried the new one!!!
