The cable does what it is supposed to do without exception. Though expensive, it is effective.

The adaptor works great and allows my wife to connect to a VGA projector and also serves as a converter from USB C to "normal' USB connections on her new Macbook. That's all well and good, but it would have been nice to have this functionality in the laptop itself rather than requiring a separate purchase and another dongle to carry around. I guess you can't have it all when laptop design is moving to be so thin that it can't include various connectors that used to be standard.

Works well with most HDMI cords, had some issues with some cords. Expensive compared to some other products.

I use it with my ipad to dj in events. I does what its ment for. I hope it lasts

The new apple mac book pro (late 2016) does not have a USB-C to DVI adapter. If your monitors support Displayport, I highly recommend you get a USB-C to Displayport cable from monoprice or amazon. If you have HDMI inputs on your monitor then you might consider going that route as well. If you have older VGA/DVI monitors, your only option is to get the Apple VGA adapter. I'm not normally a fan of VGA but I will say this seems to work great and has no noticeable degradation compared to my monitors I'm connecting to via Displayport. So while I'd prefer to use DVI, Apple hasn't figured out a way to do this for some reason. This VGA adapter is a bit pricey but works as expected and it's nice to have the USB 3 and passthru USB-C port for charging.

Apple quality always exceeds my expectations, this works great for Apple and non Apple products.

Easy to use and instantly recognized. Allowed for an additional monitor. As a genuine Apple product it worked well with a new iMac.

What can I say? It works! I bought this when I bought a new computer that only has USB-C. I own an old VGA LCD monitor from ca. 2005, and I did not want to give it up. This adapter works fine. The Apple product is probably not the cheapest, but there aren't many adapters around anymore that output VGA. I'm also using the old USB port for something, and that's working fine, too. NOTE: I have a desktop computer, so I don't know if the pass-through USB-C port for charging works.

This product is exactly what we needed to play a slideshow on a projector. I just think it's a little too pricey for an accessory. Unfortunately the bestbuy team member said there isn't any alternate.

I like USB C/Thunderbolt ports. You don’t have to be concerned which way you plug them in, as they are reversible. The world will be a simpler place once everything is converted over to them. Unfortunately we all have to endure the conversion process as manufacturers change to theI’d devices to use them, and we all have to buy our cables and adapters all over again. This product works flawlessly.

Purchased this in a pinch. Easy to use and does what it is designed to do. Pricey but can display without it.

Does exactly what you expect it to do. I have always bought Apple-made connectors, but this is just as good.

Unfortunately, Apple makes a lot of adapters since their computers no longer have an array ports to support different devices. Apple planned this for a cleaner look but in the long run it makes the computer look messier than before with all of these bulky adapters. Anyway, this adapter works great, video works with VGA equipment as it should. It is a bit pricey for what you get. but if you have old equipment, this is your only way out.

These adapters work as advertised, but the fact that I had to buy them is just irritating to me... thanks Apple

Excellent product. Tried several adaptors that did not work on an event setup, ran to Best Buy, bought as open box, and worked flawlessly.

Small enough to carry with the MacBook without having it interfere. Wish it had another input instead of an extra lighting port. Great quality as always from Apple

Works great with a monitor. Makes it easy to use two screens.

A bit pricey but helpful to keep in my bag and use as usb and vga interface.
