If you're looking for a replacement modem to save Comcast's monthly $14 charge, buy this Arris Wi-Fi modem/router. In a year it will be paid off and your bill will drop by $14/month. This Arris modem does what it is supposed to do. You need to go online and register the modem and you're all set!

You simply plug and play this device. It does however take time to trigger the (in my case Xfinity) connection to the device but once you go through the connection cycle with your ISP, the device works like a charm. I purchased this device to avoid the rental fee from my ISP. R.O.I. will be one year.

bought this modem/router combo after much deliberation. i am not disappointed. would say that set up was very easy - plug into the correct ports and launch an internet browser to finish set up. **it's important to note** i have xfinity triple play but i DONT USE the phone capability (price was still cheaper). HOWEVER! the signal that xfinity sends out REQUIRES the modem to have dial tone aka phone capability. the tech will get an error message if you have a regular modem. i bought this modem because i thought i wanted to at least have the option for phone in the future- but most people i spoke to were under the impression that if i wasn't using the phone capability, it wouldn't matter what modem i bought. that is incorrect...internet wouldn't work.

Speed is fast. Like the easy set up for wireless devices.

Haven’t had any issues. I have 9 devices connected with xfinity 100 mbps. Runs really fast. I’ve had it for 3 months now, no issues with it running hot. I was able to hook up voice line and use my fax machine with no issues. Def beats paying monthly charge with xfinity for a modem. Would buy again.

I checked out the Xfinity compatible gateway devices, and this one fit the bill from both a cost and quality perspective. It was easy to install. Just follow the included quick start directions. If you have any problems, just lookup the more detailed instructions (34 pages) on the web.

Excellent phone modem to replace Xfinity. Exactly the same as Xfinity modem but reduces my monthy bill $15 a month. Will pay for itself in 14 months. Best Buy credit card had 0% finance for 6 months. Easy install and worked great with the instruction for Xfinity. Print out and follow the instruction on Xfinity's site.

Have now had this Voice Modem for roughly 3.5 weeks and have not had any issues.....Works fine and you are able to create 2 separate bandwidths for 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands which is nice...I would recommend this product to anyone looking to stop paying rental fess from Infinity or any other Carrier.

quick and easy setup. watch out for it will want to update the latest software which means you will have to start over with setup.

this Arris Surfboard router is the best! I was tired of paying a cable company to lease one of their routers so I purchased my own. It was easy to connect and provided a great range of coverage. I can pick up my wifi at my neighbor's house over 60 feet away too. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Very easy to set up. My problems begin when I had to call Comcast and get the unit recognized as a replacement unit. I finally went to Arris web site and put in the modem numbers & Mac address and I was up and running. Should have my investment back in about 18 Months.

I do not regret purchasing this modem. It provides both internet and voice services benefits with great speed.
