Compatible with Time Warner Cable

This was easy to set up and works well. It is compatible with Time Warner which save the renting fee from them. You can pay it off in savings in a little over 6 months.

Great if you have your own router

Saved on the added monthly rental fee and horrible customer service. I have no choice but to stay with TWC, but at least this way I can have control of my own device, it was easy to install. I was able to active the modem with TWC through an on line chat mad did not have to deal with all the sales tactics of a employee trying to sell me more things I don't need and did not ask for. This modem has solved my problem. Ordered it on-line and picked it up at the store the following morning, Great experience with Best Buy on-line and in store.

I preferred a black unit instead of white but the sale price made me opt for the white model. The only thing that bothers me is the bright lights on the unit. It could be much more subtle instead of bright lights running 24/7. Lights up a room when the house lights are off for the night. Not necessary.

It's a modem!

Only thing you should check with your ISP to ensure that they allow modems that you don't "rent" from them.
