I have utilized this cable modem a couple of times and it has always performed well. In this instance there was an issue with poor web browsing experiences utilizing the Comcast supplied Cisco business gateway, lag was terrible. I replaced the Comcast Cisco unit with the SB6141 and the performance problems dissappeared, enough said.

I have at least a dozen things on my home network. I was able to replace my comcast modem with this one with a simple plug and play and had my network up and running again in minutes. Has been working fine for 6 weeks I've had it.

After having rented my cable modem directly from Time Warner Cable for two years, I decided to do some research to find a good cable modem. All professional reviews kept pointing to this modem, so I decided to give a try. I'm glad I did because the difference between the modem I was given and this modem was immediately apparent. Download speeds were improved noticeably. I went from roughly 70-75mbps down to 110-115mbps down just by switching. Internet speeds also stay consistent even during peak usage hours, whereas before, I would notice a drop in speeds by 10-20mbps, usually. If you're renting a modem from your service provider, do yourself a favor and buy this one! It will be worth the small price you pay up front.

Well worth the price since I no longer have to pay rent for the cable company's modem. The modem speed is great even with multiple users online at the same time, even when multiple people streaming videos.

Works great out of the box, 3.0 got my DL speed up. Display icons appear a bit blurry on device but readable.

I switched from a DSL service that gave me about 6/Mbps to the local cable company. When I asked the installer if the modem they provide was any good, he stated he had one and it works fine.. He tested the speed from 5 feet away and was getting 71/Mbps.. Great, I thought! Over the next 2 days I tested the speed over and over from various devices. I was getting nothing over 8/Mbps..... So I picked this modem up and a new netgear router as well.. Since I've installed I haven't gone below 65/Mbps.. Usually over 70 though. Very impressed with the speed this modem provides. Only thing I had to do for installation was contact the cable provider and give them the modems MAC address which is located right on the bottom.

Very reliable and very easy to install, i was able to connect in just seconds with my comcast provider, just called them and boom done, like magic. Right size not extremely big, so you can put them in small places if you need to.
