Was required to get a Dociss 3.0 modem. After reading the reviews, went with this one. Easy set up and has been working great.

Somewhat faster than a DOCIS 2.0 modem, depending on what you're doing. Downloads are much faster. Easy to set up (once you can get through to your internet provider!).

I bought this to replace my cable provider's cable modem in order to save money on the monthly equipment lease, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. After plugging it in and calling the cable company, I had it working without a hitch, and it hasn't dropped out once in the two months I've used it, though I have had to reset the router once or twice. I consistently get good upload and download speeds with it, usually at, or even slightly higher than the cable company's advertised speed.

Do like my new Motorola Surfboard Modem. However, the indicator lights are so bright that we have to put something in front of the modem when someone is sleeping in the computer room. Just wanted you to know so that issue can be addressed with future models. Thank you.

it is a simple matter to give the tech your MAC address and the serial number. After about 5 minutes, while he stayed on the line, it came alive, no problem. BUT, here's the thing: the serial number they need is the CUSTOMER serial number. This is only found on the bottom of the Motorola box the modem came in. This is different from the "S/N" serial number that is on the label that is on the instruction sheet and on the bottom of the modem itself. The customer S/N has letters in it; the regular S/N has only numbers in it and is too long.

Easy to set up. I upgrade my cable speed from 25 to 105 and my old modem sb6120 couldn't handle. I got better upload speed but haven't get a 105 download speed so far.

Suddenlink upgraded my area and was going to charge extra for the modem to receive the additional speeds. This modem was compatible and worked with one call to activate. (The automatic web provisioning wouldn't work)

My internet provider increased our internet speeds but in order to take advantage of the increased speeds we had to upgrade the modem. This was the best bang for the buck.

Modem was easy to set up and I am very satisfied with the speeds so far. I have Cox Communications, and it was easy to get this added to their system.

Very easy to set up by myself. It provides pretty steady signals.

I always trusted the brand and was reassured how easy it was to install after getting it plugged in and calling Comcast. Speeds are great and no need for frequent resets.

When setting up, device required an upgrade through Comcast. I initially attempted to do this through my wireless connection and did not see the prompts I needed to follow. Once my laptop was connected directly to this modem, I was able to get this set up correctly.
