I bought this modem in hopes of fixing my internet dropping out of no where. The issue wasn’t with my modem since my internet was still disconnecting, but I noticed that it will reconnect to the internet faster than my previous modem. Instead of taking 5 min to get the internet back again, now it took 1 min or less.

This item was recommended by a Best Buy sales associate after I told her we couldn't get a strong wi-fi signal throughout our large home. When paired with the NETGEAR - N900 Dual Band Wireless-N Router with 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch it works beautifully!

Cut the cord recently. I dropped Uverse (phone, TV, internet) and went with Comcast Xfinity Internet only. I wanted to reduce my cable costs the max I could, so I bought this modem based on reviews from the wirecutter.com. Highly recommend this device.

I bought this modem to use with Suddenlink and it works great, haven't had any issue with it (4 months so far). Regularly use for streaming had video. I would recommend it, the previous model may also be good but I bought this one base on online reviews.

Docsis 3.0 support upto 1Gbps connections now and this one has a max of only 343Mbps but is good enough for most commerically available internet plans. It has only one ethernet port so hook that up to either a ethernet hub or wifi router and you are good to go.

I got tired of Warner Cable, RoadRunner, looking for more and more ways to charge more for the same service. When they tacked on a $6.99 a month to rent the 3 year old modem that was previously free, time to buy my own. It will take about 12 months to recover the price, but then I am saving the monthly rental, plus the taxes. As for the modem, works great, easy set up, except that Warner deleted my account instead of adding the registration numbers for the new modem. So no Modem problem, just more Warner Cable problems, no surprise there. The modem might be a little faster than the old one, but it is pretty hard to tell. Definitely not slower.

I recently got my mother Internet at her home and she has no need for WiFi. The salesman told me this one would work with her internet provider. It's a bit pricey but this is what was required or else we'd have to pay $8 per month to rent the equipment.

Not a lot to say, when everyone else has already said it. Everyone knows this is the best Docsis 3.0 general purpose cable modem.

We should've picked this up long ago! The cable company assured us we had the best modem (that we were renting from them). We knew better. Gave up cable and phone (kept internet for streaming) . We returned all their equipment and picked up this little guy. After hooking it up, following a few easy steps, this modem was off and running. We had 3 tvs and a computer streaming at the same time (as a test). Works flawlessly. Small compact design is easy to blend in any office.

Good speed, good price. Found that the configuration was painless. I have experienced a noticeable speed improvement.

This review is as much about the product as it is about the customer service at the store. Our modem supplied by COX went out and after several hours of attempts to revive on my own and with COX, we needed to replace it. COX was NOT being helpful so I went to Best Buy, even thought Staples was closer. I did not know what I wanted but after about 3 minutes of questions by the sales associate, she recommended this one. Took it home, set it up in about 20 minutes (had to provide COX the serial numbers etc) and it has worked flawlessly ever since.

This modem adds 4 more bonded channels for a total of 8 bonded channels compared to the previous version modem. If you currently have a DOCSIS 2 modem, this will be a vast improvement to your speed. Even if you were on the previous version you will notice the different while being able to rest assured this modem will not be phased out for quite a few years. If you have a surfboard 3/4/5xxx then this modem is a must upgrade for one reason... Bonded Channels. This allows for more speed and fault tolerance. This version allows for 8 bonded channels, while the 6121 has 4 channels, the 5xxxx only have one channel.

I bought this modem so that I could stop renting one from my internet provider. I'm a Time Warner Cable subscriber with 100mbs download speed. This works perfectly for me and doesn't compromise any of my bandwidth that I was originally receiving. After calling their customer support and adding it to my account, everything worked fine. I haven't had any issues with dropped connections or slowness. The status lights on the front are very bright, so as noted by some other buyers, these can be very bright in a dark room. I highly recommend this modem.

As expected this modem works well with my TWC internet feed.

The gentleman who suggested the modem was very knowledgeable of the modem and router differences. We are extremely happy with this particular modem because it is fast and easy to hook up, and easy to use.
