I went ahead and purchased this router instead of renting the one from Comcast to avoid the monthly fee and so far it is working as intended with plenty of speed to support the entire house.

Other than the fact that the lights are very bright and it lights up like a xmas tree, and it only comes in white. It seems to be fast and reliable.

My new Arris Surfboard was very easy to set up. I'm very pleased with the speeds I'm getting and now wish I had gotten at least the next model above mine. Very good quality modem!

Bought so I could stop paying Comcast's crazy $10 a month rental fee. Came to Best Buy for advice on which one to purchase. So many to choose from! The salesman gave an overview of what to look for, then said which he would choose. Went with his recommendation - and it works great. Thanks Best Buy!

I have had this modem for 2 months now and it is far superior to the one CableOne rented to m at $8/ mo. Payback will be quick. It is faster, and does not need to be reset all the time like my old one. I've paired this with an Eero whole house network with great success.

I used to pay monthly fee to rent a cable modem from my provider. With this modem, I get the same service and a fraction of the cost. Pretty much a no brainer. The modem has been rock solid for about 3 months now, highly reccommend.

Bought this cable modem so that I could return the one that I was using to Comcast and save myself the monthly rental fee that Comcast was charging me. Hooked it up, Comcast automatically "saw" a new device, obtained the MAC address, and it has been working just great. Could not have been easier.

The installation process was very simple. Just brought it in to my ISP, had them register it, went home, plugged it in and voila! Perhaps not the fastest on the market but certainly not the slowest. It performs as well as you can expect a modem of this price range to.

Xfinity raised the price on renting the cable modem so off I go, and I was lucky enough to purchase this one on sale. I had to call Xfinity to get it setup, but even the tech guy highly recommended Motorola cable modems. I have noticed improved speed and stability since I switched from the rental.

This was recommended by the sales person at it works very well. I also found it very easy to install. My home network functions much quicker with this product.

I changed to cable and needed a router. This was easy to set up alone and easy to add a router. Just plug in your cables and your good to go (you may need to contact your cable provider to 'authorize' the new modem, but that's not difficult). I've already recommended this modem to friends.

I needed a cable modem for my upgrade from DSL. I looked at several cable modems that are available and read reviews before choosing the Arris Surfboard. Very easy to install and configure. I was up and running with the new cable modem in a short time. This product meets my expectations.

Finally got one of these to get rid of my monthly charge for the modem I was "renting" from Comcast! Works great. Installation went flawlessly. I plugged it in and was off and running. BB price was better than online price too!

This item works good and is fast. It works for Southernfiber net.

I got this modem for my mother to use with her Time Warner internet connection. If you have your own modem they don't charge you to rent theirs for internet use. Yet we need their modem for the phone service so we have to keep using it for that, but there isn't a charge for it. The logic makes no sense, but we save around $8 a month and have two modems side by side on the desk. The modem works well and was very easy to hook up and get activated with Time Warner. The only downside I have found so far is the brightness of the led(s) on the front. There are more than needed and the one that tells you the internet is working blinks red constantly. I thought it must mean there is an error so I checked the book and it's supposed to do that! It's annoying and unnecessary, but the modem works and we have one less fee to pay the cable company

I've only had it for a month, but it seems to be quite stable, and perform very well. Yes, the lights are very bright, but it's in my home office, and the brightness doesn't bother me at all. Performance so far has been excellent.

I did pick this modem up and had issues with it at first. After speaking with a customer service rep they told me the believed i recieved a bad modem so i went back to best buy and picked up another. When i got home i hooked the new one up and it works great and havent had a problem since!!!

i have Comcast and this modem works great. the fact that it pays for itself in 8 months due to no rental fees is icing on the cake. no bottlenecks as this can handle over 300 Mps.

We were renting a modem through our cable company for $7 per month and I really wanted to purchase my own modem to avoid this fee. After reading some tech articles online I purchased this one. I even was able to have Best Buy do a price match over the phone so I saved a little bit too. I am very happy that it was easy to set up, and works really well. I already have a wireless router and this modem was fine connecting to it. I did have to make a call to my cable company to notify them of the switch and so that they could "recognize the device" and send a signal to it. But that took only about 5 minutes. I'm very happy I bought this and even happier that my cable bill is lower.

This modem works flawlessly, and I still have no idea why I paid to rent modems from my ISP for so long. This thing paid for itself in under a year, and I have not had any issues using it with either Comcast or CenturyLink.
