Nice compact modem! When it's time to upgrade, I always choose the SURFboard. It is also easy to connect to my home network.

So far it has been solid. No hiccups or need to reboot. The best thing about owning this is I don't have to pay Comcast to rent one. It will end up paying for itself.

Needed to replace my several years old Motorola Surfboard 5100 due to system changes by our Cable/Internet provider. The new Docsis 3.0 was simple to install and was up and running with one short phone call to the cable support folks to give them the id number. Been running less than a week with no problems.

If you are sick and tired of paying the rental prices for your cable modem from comcast or any other cable internet company then get this. It has 343 MBPS and since I have comcast I will not max that out anytime soon. This is an amazing way to go and to save money in the long run. You will have to call your cable company and provide them the serial number and mac address so they can register it to their system.

I wanted something simple and reliable so I selected this model. Easy to install. Told Comcast they can take back their modem!

With the Apple Airport Express, this thing works great. I'd also recommend switch to time warner for internet if your internet kept loosing broadband signal. Then after I switched to TWC, everything ran smoothly.

Works well and the setup was simple. Bought this to replace my TWC one so I wouldn't have to pay the modem lease. Good investement, saves money in the long run.

To be safe, I normally purchase the most expensive electronic item available so I do not have any regrets. In this case, the modem was not the most expensive but it functions as if it is. No problems whatsoever.

I bought this modem so I wouldn't have to pay a monthly rental to Comcast. Speed tested before and after and the speed was the same. It does glow blue and it is fairly bright. Overall it does what is supposed to do.

Bought this modem for Comcast. It works great. No issues so far but only had it a couple months. The installer set it up with Comcast so don't know how smooth that would go if you are looking to replace an old modem.

I read an article about paying a rental modem from your internet provider was impractical, so I went online did some research and this was the best reviewed on my price range. So far so good it is running very well.

Similar to most modems, this does not have a phone jack like the modem Time Warner Cable installed, therefore this requires using the TWC modem along with this one using a splitter. I picked up a "kit" or bag which included the splitter and short cables from TWC store for free. There is only one ACTIVE cable that can be used with a modem and this is the one connected to the modem input before adding an additional modem. That cable connects to the splitter input and the two splitter outputs connect to the two modem inputs. Initially I hooked the splitter to a different cable TV connection and didn't work. The reason most modems today don't come with phone jacks is TWC and other providers are required by law to provide a modem for telephone use.

$10 monthly rental for the cable box or buy my own - easy choice. This box is super simple to set up. Plug it in, power it on and you are done. Speeds are the same as using the comcsat gateway.

Had earlier surfboard and upgraded to high speed internet. Didn't really improve that much. Son suggested our router may be outdated. It's only 18 mo old. It was. The new one is blazingly faster. All good.

I wanted to cut down my monthly expenses so I bought this modem to replace the one I was renting from Comcast. It seems to work the same if not better than the one from Comcast and I can use my own router with it.

I hooked it up and called my internet provider. It was working in no time and haven't had to think about it since then.

This modem has been doing great so far. I have had it for a few months now and am super satisfied. Doing much better and faster than my previous Doscis 2.0 modem.
