I almost kept this modem but for whatever reason, the up speed was capping at 10-11mbps when the 6183 was getting a full 20+mbps. This modem also had trouble with down speed...it was sufficient for most people's needs but with twc, I have 200mbps down and this modem could not do it. In the end, I chose the 6183 so I could get the most out of my services. Also...this modem had an obnoxious blinking light. The light on the 6183 is much more tolerable.

I replaced my Time warner cable router/modem with this and paired it with the asus AC3100 router. I could not be happier with my results. I was paying for 50mbps and only downloading at about 15mbps sitting in my couch. My router is in my office about 30 feet from said couch. So for me this was just not acceptable. I went to my local Best Buy and talked to a very helpful gentleman, told him my situation and he seemed confident with selling me this combo. He did not disappoint! I'm now streaming at an average speed of 55mbps on my couch! Even at the farthest point of my house from the setup it's consistently over 30mbps. And it doesn't matter what time of day like TWC suggests being the problem for the slow down! I have recommended this to friends and family since my purchase and their all happy as well. Once you get past spending the money you won't be dissapointed! And you don't have to pay $10 extra per month for theyre junk equipment.

Bought this modem to ditch Time Warner's leased modem. Got it on sale at Best Buy. Works great.

This item met my needs for internet service in my new apartment. Great price and suits my needs.

No gamers in this household so speed is great for our usage. Had no difficulties installing it and the router we purchased together. Non-techie and even I could do it. Speeds do not drop much in the outer limits of the wireless network. Can you tell I have little knowledge of how a modem works?

I was looking for the most affordable option that would work with Xfinity/Comcast. While there was one cheaper option, I decided to go with the Arris brand since that's the brand Xfinity uses on their leasing option. The unit was easy to setup with Xfinity support over the phone and works great, providing sufficient speed and functionality for my household.

I wanted to replace my comcast/Xfinity rental modem. To save the money. Three weeks and it's worked well.

I work from home and this modem works great with my Airport Extreme router. Perfect little pair!

The modem works well with my new smart router, the only issues I ever have are in relation to the old co-ax cables I insist on avoiding replacing.

Needed a replacement modem. Saw this online went into the store and got for a good price. Took it home easy set up, and super fast speeds. Only issue I had was convincing the wife to let me get a new router to match the speeds. I've been really happy with this purchase

Not much to say other than it works. Power it on, hook the cables up and you're on the way.

This modem was easy to install and initiate and it has work flawlessly from day one. My speed has increased 30mbs from the modem provided by Time Warner so now I am actually getting the speed I pay to receive.

Purchased for an apartment internet hook up. Reasonably priced and works great.

Easy to install, 3.0 data movement makes for faster service. The white case is problem because it makes two of the lights appear that they are not on.
