If you opt to buy this modem as a replacement for Comcast modem rental (charge of $10/month) I would suggest this product since it is compatible. However, if you subscribe to telephone/voice services through Comcast this modem isn't equipped for telephony and you will have to rent their modem anyway. So I would say go for it only if you get the Double play which is cable and Internet only. This is something they won't tell you until the day of installation even with someone as due diligent as myself, checking with technical support etc. Cheers!

In my Home it’s great, it like a Plug n Play Device, I Was up and running in less than 5 mins took longer to call TWC to send a Signal to the modem than to set it up. This is a Great Modem for the Value and the price now that I have 50Mbps download speed with TWC ***It will work with 100Mbps TWC with the 3.0 DOCSIS***

Reliable and pretty standard cable modem. Have been pleased so far and have not had any issues. Straightforward operation and very easy to use.

Easy to setup and saw the speeds increase over the standard Comcast modem.

I had an old DOCSIS 1.0 cable modem before and did not realize it was hampering my internet speed. Bought this modem, easy to setup and is 3 times as fast as previous cable modem. Great modem for good price.

Great Modem at a low price. If you have Internet up to 25gbs, there is no sense in renting. But this modem!

The modem works fine. I was recently (8/4/15) made aware via a Comcast email that they now support faster modem speeds than this provides (in my area)... so its now technically an out of date piece of hardware. Again though, it serves its purpose fine. We generally have 4-5 devices connect at once with Comcast internet speeds of up to 150mpbs. Would I recommend? Only if your ISP doesnt provide faster internet than this guy can provide.

Bought this instead of leasing one from my cable company which would save me some money in the long run. Easy to hookup and setup. Have been using it for like 4 months and no problems so far. Love bestbuy for doing price match which saved me some more money!

Needed to upgrade from 2.0 modem; great price and works great! Faster internet speed than old 2.0 modem.

I have installed 12 of these. one for my house and 11 for my family and friends it cuts your cable bill and you have the ability to set up special firewall and features and fully control how your internet works even speed it up a little which is not available with the modem provided by the cable company. Also I it seems like the ones from the cable company have to be reset every month or so but not these. I only have to reset mine about once or twice a year.

Very easy to set up and works as advertised. Have had no problems with it since installed a month ago.
