Easy to setup. Has trouble standing upright due to the cable connections causing it to tip over often. The folks at Cox can't seem to troubleshooot their internet errors in my neighborhood. Due to modem changes, splitter connections changes, and LAN cable upgrades....the problem lies with Cox internet service.

I bought this modem to replace the rental from Comcast and it turns out this is an awesome modem. I definately noticed the speed has increased immediately and was easy to install. I am very happy with it.

By changing from DOCSIS 2 to DOCSIS 3 modem download speeds increased from 12MB to 24MB without changing anything else. Good investment.

I needed to update modem and router, the last one lasted 8-9 yrs. I was constantly being dropped by comcast. Spent a little more $$ than I planned but you get what you pay for. I'm very happy with it,

Quite simply, this is the best cable modem built so far. It's DOCSIS 3.0 compliant so pretty much ANY ISP will be able to use it. The installer simply connected the modem and told me, "OK, you're online." I checked my router and saw that it was all good. I have never had any disconnects.

If you are looking for a modem that works out of the box, this is the unit. I didn't have to reset anything. The Motorola Surfboard SB6121 is compatible with my netgear router. Best Buy matched the low price Walmart had. If you are a Brighthouse Customer this modem will work.

i have twc and there lease for router is ridiculous and dumb that's why i purchase this router and with the return fee i was able to upgrade my speeds up 20mbps/2mbps love it no more lease fee the price of it was high compare to ebay but i use my credit card so didn't bugged me that much buy now pay later get points get money rewards works out for me

i just purchased motorola modem today after 5 min speaking to comcast about activating my new modem i was ready to go the speed is amazing no droping signal anymore

I had been needing to update my cable modem for a while and as soon as this went on sale I bought it. Set up was easy as far as getting everything put together. As other have mentioned in reviews you have to call your internet provider to give them the Serial and/or some other number to be able to get online. That takes a while w/being on hold etc., so I called while I was unhooking the old and hooking up the new. So when someone answered I was ready w/out wasting time. Overall this item performs as expected, but I was a bit disapointed that I don't always see a significant difference in speed especially when watching videos or looking at something w/ lots of graphics. The videos sometimes still stall or when surfing the web some pages take just as long to load as my old 11 year old modem. I have the "performance" internet, but I guess internet speed can vary depending on my computer, peak usage times, and maybe other factors.

I purchased one of the first DOCSIS 2.0 modems back in 2001 and only quit using it when my ISP stopped supporting it a month or so ago. I expect to not have to worry about cable modems for another decade. DOCSIS 3.0 modems are only mildly more expensive and ensure that you won't have to upgrade if your ISP phases out support for 2.0.

held out on buying a new modem for a long time boy that was a mistake the speeds these new ones put out is incrediable.the only hard part about install was getting ahold of a live person at cable company to get it registered

I first tried another brand because the box said it was twice as fast as this one and only $10 more. Sounded worth it. It wasn't. It was a disaster. This Motorola is used at home and works great.

I bought this modem to replace my comcast modem/router and instantly my speeds increased plus I am no longer paying $10/month for a rental. Worth every penny.

I've been using this for a few weeks with Charter cable internet, and I have had no problems with it. It's just a little more expensive than I think it should be.

Connected Quickly to Comcast, Took 6 mins and internet was up. I was prepared for a longer wait and difficulty. My advise make sure the Coaxial cable is live and works with your Cable TV Box, then connect it to your new cable modem.

What can you say about a cable modem? The best ones never act like they exist. They connect you to your cable provider and provide seamless and fast data transfer, ideally. This one does that.

I have no issues with the modem. The price was good and cheaper than renting on via the cable company. Now dealing with Time Warner Cable for the set-up is a different story, but that had nothing to do with the modem or Best Buy.... that is all on Time Warner!

I dreaded upgrading to this modem because I feared being on the phone forever with Comcast. The modem installed easily and the call was painless. I was done in less than 15 minutes!

I bought this modem so I don't have to pay the monthly $8.00 from my ISP. I hooked it up and called the ISP and they took care of the rest. It works well and saves me $8.00 per month. It'll pay for itself fast!

Took two shipping attempts to reach me because bestbuy tried to ship to my PO box even though I had given the physical address of my condo complex. Despite this, the modem was basically plug n play. Comcast tells you call in to have your personal modem activated.. Plugged this unit in and it initialized for 3 minutes; was up and running in no time.
