I used several of the basic Surfboards that are priced cheap. They all died on me causing me a few days of frustration prior to replacement. I read reviews and saw that the cheap Surfboards had a low rating and this one was high. I spent the bucks and now there are no more frustrations.

I researched modems to avoid paying Comcast's monthly fees. It basically pays for its self in about a year. I've had my modem for almost 3 months without a hitch due to Comcast's amazing service. I work from home about 10 hours a days so I would know if there are any issues. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this item to upgrade my old Motorola SB. Significant upgrade with higher internet speed.

I had always rented my modem from my cable company and decided I was throwing away my money. This modem works so much better than any modem I have rented in the past. I should have done this a long time ago.

The modem is really good at providing consistent fast internet without cutting out. I thought it was a little 0tier but have not had a single problem with my Comcast internet.

Worked right out of the box. The Internet technician couldn't find the model and left before setting up the Internet for me, but I called customer service and had it working almost before he left the house.

compatible with Comcast. in fact.... zoom zoom zoom! great speed!

Does what it is suppose to. 1 month of ownership and no trouble.

Replaced older system that reset many times..... no issues since I installed this product.

Can't complain about a modem that does what it's advertised to do- connect me to the interwebz!

Upgraded from a Motorolla 2.0. This 3.0 boosted my downloads from 19 Mbps to 65. Uploads from 2 to 5. Unreal difference.

Replaced an older model Motorola with this one as this one is DOCSIS 3.0. Seems to work fine and the speed is on par or a little better than the previous modem.

I bought this modem so that I wouldn't have to get ripped off for $10 a month from Comcast. The bonus was that I nearly doubled my download and upload speeds. It was simple to set up with a quick call to Comcast to switch the modem on the account.

Modem works great. Getting it registered with Comcast was a pain, took 2 calls and about an hour. After that it was smooth sailing.

I am not the most technical person, but this was easy to install and set up out of the box

I purchased this modem to replace an old DOCSIS 1.0/1.1 cable modem. The download speed when from just over 8mb per second to 36mb per second. It was on the Comcast approved list.

I no longer have to pay perpetual rental fees to the cable co.! This item will pay for itself in less than 10 months. After activation by the cable co. it has worked flawlessly.

I have no complaints with this modem. It was a plug in and play, the setup was fairly simple. I'm very happy with this product.

I blame my difficutly in installation with my cable company. I do believe they did not like me buying my modem at Best Buy and preferred that I bought it from them. They had me call product companies at the beginning until talking to the maufacturer of the modem and router that I bought that it was cable company's issues not manufacturer.

I have used Motorola product before this one and when I got this modem setup and running, I have seen a speed improvement. I currently use in conjuction with the Netgear router and no issues yet.
