Works great. I have made an update of my modem and my wireless systems. No probles since I updated. The only thing that took long to do was to contact Comcast to make the update.

Wanted a better modem for streaming movies. My other one caused a lot of buffering and besides I had been renting it from the cable company for years and years. Probably paid for it twenty times over.

Why rent one when you can own it?

Instead of renting a modem (potentially this exact one) for $10 a month, it was a no-brainer to buy it instead. This one is popular for a reason, as I haven't had any big issues. Occasionally I'll have a major slowdown in speed, but I'm guessing that's because of Comcast or my router.

Overall Good Performance

Generally speaking, this unit is okay. I can still stream internet content w/o much delay. However, my biggest complaint is how long it takes most webpages to load as opposed to the DOCSIS 2.0 I had. The old unit allowed the content to load quickly and smoothly. This unit doesn't do that which can be irritating. For those thinking of upgrading, consider holding off until later. I wouldn't fully recommend at the moment.

Not much to say. Plugged it in and it worked. I replaced my last cable modem because it seemed to keep dropping connection when the DHCP lease needed to be renewed from ISP. It was getting annoying so I tried replacing the modem with this one. No problems and all is well.

This eliminated time warner's rental fee from my bill. Only bad thing is that this cable modem only handles the internet so I still had to keep my old modem for telephone service from time warner.

This is a great product and does everything I've asked it to do. I've no issues whatsoever with it. It streams video at HD levels without any problems.

I have upgraded from DOCSIS 1.0 to the Motorola SURFboard SB6121 seamlessly, which is the best cable modem to support the DOCSIS 3.0 specification.

The cable modem works great as long as your ISP has a reliable and consistent service. Unfortunately the modem will perform a reset if the power levels change even slightly. This happens a lot in small towns or places where a new ISP is standing up or upgrading services. Another downside is no way to manually update the firmware... Only your ISP can update the firmware.

Decided that $7 a month for a modem made no sense when I could buy my own. Under the advice of the Comcast rep at the store I purchased this all in one wireless juggernaut, his words not mine. After calling Comcast to have them record my MAC ID, I setup my modem/router (very straight forward) after about 2 hours of use the problems began. I constantly lost the signal to all of my wireless devices, causing me to enter the password multiple times even though I did nothing different to my initial setup.
After about a week of this, a few Comcast technician visits and me wasting time constantly re-entering passwords, I returned this device and got the traditional router & modem (DOCSIS 2.0) that I had previously.

I decided to buy my own instead of leasing this exact same product from my internet company. In a 6 month time frame it payed for itself. Great modem, very stable and no issues so far.
Highly recommend.

The Motorola came with a stand. I connected it to Comcast cable without
any issue. It's been running for 3 weeks now.
In short, it does the job, simple, and does it well.

Very happy with this product. Love Netgear. Only brand I ever used. Hook up was simple, Comcast verified quickly with a phone call, and the rest is history.
