Within a or 2 week of installing the device l began to have internet connectivity issues. I talked to customer support, they had me reset the device. This corrected the issue but it returned within a week or so. It's now 3 months and l am still having connectivity issues and am returning the device for warranty replacement. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. l am giving a rating of fair in hopes that the replacement device works better. Note: internet research states that these devices have connectivity issues related to a defective Intel chipset. I hope the replacement works better.

this is the 2nd unit we bought. when i got the 1st one it didn't work and had to replace it with a new one at bestbuy. So far this works but it can be slow at times and whenever we download certain things its slow. I bought this to avoid renting Xfinity modem. If it keeps being slow I might just have to do that.

You can only use 1 of the ethernet ports at a time

I bought this modem to save on modem rental fees. I wanted to be able to plug in my router and my computer directly and since it had 2 ethernet ports I was sold. I was looking to try and "future proof" a bit since it has docsis3.1 as well. However, when I got it home and pluged my computer and router into the back I couldnt get on the internet. Called my cable provider, called Arris support. Long story short unless you purchase a 2nd IP address from your cable provider you cant use the second port. None of that is indicated anywhere on the box or on the purchase details here. You dont see anything about that until you get into the quickstart guide and it says that your ISP MAY require a second IP address. Seems like this was misleading/false advertising from Arris. I wont purchase anything from them again since it doesnt seem you can trust what it says. Also, since it took me so long to go back and forth between the cable company and Arris about what the issue was I can no longer return it to best buy either. So, Im stuck with a modem that only 1/2 works. Also, in terms of set up it was a pain. I had to contact ISP directly several times to get it to even start to initialize and it was a long, connecting to several different people process.

I purchased this to replace my old Arris which worked flawlessly for years on my 300Mbps service. The T25 is one of two modems that support phone service on Xfinity.
Shortly after purchase, I started noticing that the modem would be offline (but not showing any errors) in the morning. Many Correctables, Uncorrectables, and error log entries. After monitoring, I realized that the modem was locking up between midnight and 12:30am every few days. On all outages, the modem lights indicated no issues and the modem would be unresponsive (i.e. can't reach 192.168.100.1). Thinking the consistency meant a signal issue, I had at least 3 visits from techs to diagnose. None could find an issue.
Arris customer support insisted that the signal from Comcast was out of spec for their modem. A Comcast tech showed me the signal strengths and they did not match what the T25 reported.
After much back and forth, I purchased the other modem listed to support voice (Netgear CM1150V) and it has performed flawlessly since.
Do NOT buy the Arris T25 for use on Comcast's network. It will lock up, drop offline, and provide poor performance when it is online.

This modem stops working every two weeks. I have been able to restart it 5 times since I bought it 3 months ago. Today it wouldn't even connect to my wi-fi router. I had to restart the internet each time I plugged in the ethernet cable. The signal on the modem showed that there is an internet connection but when I plug in an ethernet cable there is not internet. Just a horrible experience for such a pricy item.

Average cable modem - high price for average performance at best. It works but I don’t really see the value in this product. But it is definitely cheaper than renting from a provider so there is that and it is all that goes for this device.
