This is more of an issue with Best Buy and Comcast. Modem must have been returned to the store then resold. The issue is that once it has been on the Comcast network for someone else , it is very difficult to install. It took 3+ weeks to figure out that because someone else used it before me that Comcast could not allow me to use it until they confirmed it was not stolen. They never truly told me this until I demanded to talk to a supervisor. They just kept saying they needed to rest the device and it would take 24-48 hours. Have to return it and hope that no one else gets it.

One pc directly connected is fine, But go through a switch and no IP addresses. No DHCP available, need to connect with a router which defeats the purpose of having a gig network only to have it go back through a 100mb router! This of course defeated the wireless speed also. If you have a gig speed router you’re good, if not, extra purchase! Also, Arris modem is locked down by the factory, you don’t even get to control your own modem!

This modem drops connection weekly requiring a reboot. Returned to use Xfinity's XB7 with the nighthawk ax6000 mesh extender.

Did well for two days but then failed. I thought it was the new router and exchanged that, but still problems. We changed the port used and that worked for another few days, but that port failed also. Returning.

The unit disconnects daily, Arris tech support couldn't fix the problem, I returned the unit to store and got a refund, I hooked my old Netgear cm500 and it is now working fine, no disconnects. I heard problems with the Intel Puma chipset in these modems, disconnecting is one of them

Had this for a little over one month and it started dropping connection. Spent many days without internet troubleshooting with both Comcast and tech support. Warranty does not provide advanced replacement. This product has known overheating issue yet they still sell this product. This modem is junk with horrible customer service.

It took 2 hours for Xfinity to proviso the new MODEM. We pay for and Xfinity says that we are getting 900MB but a number of speed test show we are getting only 150MB.

It is okay. There aren't many cable with voice modems. I purchased it - set it up - and did look at some of the details on the box it has a number of limitations where you probably are never going to max it out. I returned it to get a Netgear that was much less expensive.

Be cautious if you buy this modem. I bought one and tried to add in to my account only to find out that the MAC address had already been used in a different state. Took it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for a new one. This one the serial number was used on a different modem. Not sure what ARRIS is doing with their modems but they do not work

Returned this product. Sales associate helped me and suggested this product. Once we got home with it, it didn't not serve our purpose. The associate must have not understood our need or not that up on their products
