Their failure to show resulted in 14 day return period passing Into social distancing commencing. No follow up by them upon distancing. No follow up still. Setup not so simple or so simple but product defective. Xfinity sort of got running after couple hours. No Best Buy but Xfinity. Whole reason went into Best Buy.

The Geek Squad did an excellent job trying to install the new modem, but despite their efforts the unit did not work. A second attempt to install the ARRIS modem was made by a technician from Spectrum, who also could not get it installed. The device is defective and needs to be replaced.

Brought to my attention that while it claims to be supported by xfinity for up to 2gig service, it is not even on their list of 1gbps modems, and I'm stuck with 800mbps service. Avoid this more expensive modem like the plague, and if you want a arris modem get the s33 or g36, both newer and less expensive than this modem. I however am screwed.

Had to replace old eMTA...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Giving it 4stars bcuz I've only had it a short time. However, I don't anticipate any problems. Once installed & provisioned it immediately resolved the buffering on all wifi devices in my network experienced with my old eMTA. It was easy to install, a little more difficult to provision (self setup wasn't working, had to call xfinity support). Also cuts the equip fee from my internet bill, so it'll pay for itself in roughly a year. That alone makes it worth buying.
