Excellent Modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My area doesn't offer 1Gbps internet and I don't think that they plan on anytime soon. This modem is rated for 633mbps which is plenty. Check with your cable provider for their individual requirements as they may be different. My cable provider (suddenlink) says that you must have 8 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels. This modem is 16 downstream and 4 upstream. I have this device paired with a Linksys EA8500 in a 1800sq.ft. house with 100mbps down.
