I wanted to save money by purchasing my own modem rather than renting one from the cable company. The cable company provided me with great reviews about the Arris modem which encouraged me to purchase it. In all, the Arris modem was a great product/purchase.

This is a great modem. Speed is fast and it's a reliable product.

Same brand as used by my cable company. Will pay for itself in 10 months. This one goes to 1 gig so plenty of room for expansion even after the new standard comes out. Very small. Easy to setup. I get 236 down, 20 up on my 200 me service. Exact same as time warners

I've got the 150 mb internet plan fron cox and this sends it all out with no problems. Streaming direct tv now and PlayStation Vue at same time on 4 different televisions with no lag whatsoever . Stop renting your modem and buy this for your streaming needs

If your cable company offers gigabit level services, you'll want to buy this modem. It offers the highest (theoretical) download and upload speeds of any modem currently on the market. But, you'll have to pay your cable company for the privilege of that speed.

Got the job done. I have Xfinity internet. I had hard reset the modem because it was dropping the signal after install. No problems from there.

We have Comcast 105 MB internet and their modem/router wasn't cutting it. We purchased this modem & a router and are finally getting the speeds we pay for. It's been 2 months & haven't had to reboot yet. Well worth the money if you need fast, consistent connection.

We got this to go along with the netgear Orbi. It handles our very taxing broadband needs (large family, lots of streaming and gaming) without breaking a sweat or losing speed. Haven't had any issues with it whatsoever and have had it about a month now.

Ising for my remote office and it works great! Easy to install!

We've had this modem for some time and it's both a financial blessing in that we don't have to pay monthly rental payments to Comcast/Xfinity and it works well.

This is a replacement for a Netgear 16x8 DOCSIS 3.0 modem on my Xfinity network. Night and day difference...very pleased. The Netgear had replaced an out of date Motorola....shame on me.

Been running this for over 5 years and works perfect! Saved me all that rental money from Comcast!

Installation was not a problem for me. I am getting the download speed I am paying for. If you set it up in a bedroom, you may not like the brightness of the the blue status lights.

I found out that unfortunately my terrible internet wasn't due to my cable modem. I have not yet fixed the internet, but the modem was greatly useful in figuring out that it wasnt my end of things that was the problem. I will try to leave a better review when I have had a chance to use it when my internet is fixed.

This is like the only gigabit modem that is always readily available in stores for purchase that's compatible with my ISP. This is my second one as my first one was fried in a thunderstorm. It would be nice if this had on board WiFi though.

Got when my absolutely ancient SURFboard modem finally bit the dust (literally 10 minutes before I was supposed to clock in for work, because of course it did). I upgraded my speed once I got it, so I'm uncertain if it was the modem working out newness-caused kinks or my ISP, but I had some drops in internet at first. But I've gone several months now without an issue that isn't ISP related. Very happy with ARRIS as always. Hope this one lasts 7 years like the last one did.

Nice device. Modem should be added. This router plus modem work fine.
