ARRIS - SURFboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem good fast easy to install

I purchased this modem after realizing my stupidity of paying a monthly lease fee to my cable company for way too many years. There were a variety of models available but this one was at the low-end cost-wise and it has worked flawless with my cable company.

I took back my Comcast modem and replaced it with this one. I have 2 streaming devices 3 computers and kids with devices and have had zero problems. Love it

When upgrading your internet access and wifi at your home, the first thing you need to think about is the modem. If the modem can't handle the MB/S being provided to you by your internet service provider, then your modem becomes a bottleneck that slows your MB/S down. Besides, most internet providers charge a monthly fee for providing a modem. By purchasing your own modem, you pay for the cost within about a year plus you get a better modem.

The setup instructions were oversimplified, as the color combinations for the indicator lights shown in the instructions didn't match what came up on my unit. I had to call both ARRIS and my ISP to get everything to work; the former to make sure that the light combinations were OK, and the latter to register my device so that they would send the internet signal to it. After spending much time on hold on the phone and getting to the answers for my questions, the device works exactly as promised so far. I'm using it as a base for a Google Wifi mesh system and it's going great.

Easy to set up with my comcast cable and gets all the speed I need.

Great power. Paired with 200 mbps. Works great! Now getting great performance from all my devices.
