Love that it is compatible with Comcast, as Comcast charges $9.99 to lease their modem. Was looking to update our current modem (4-5 years old) to actually get the faster speed internet we were paying for. This works perfectly! We have multiple devices connected at once and no longer experience the pause when streaming tv shows or movies. Worth every penny! The plug and play feature is great as well

This Arris SB6190 replaced a near 8 year old Motorola/Arris SB6141 cable modem that served us well. There are posts that this particular cable modem runs hot.. We have had this cable modem for about 2 1/2 months now, and so far it has worked OK. The performance for the price with it on sale seems worth the money.

Who Knew It Was Needed

I have to say I thought my lack of speed at home was my router. WRONG! It was the smallest box of my setup. Who knew a new modem was needed, the cable company sure didn't let me know. I actually had consistent speeds close to what I'm paying for and the 5G was almost 5x. I'd highly suggest if you're having trouble with your internet speeds, check out a new modem!

This is my second ARRIS cable Modem. The first lasted five years before I started seeing issues it. I've had the new modem for a month now and I've had no issues. It was easy to install and I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Also, I use the modem with a Linksys Dual-Band router.

Purchased this modem to reduce monthly bill from spectrum for my internet package. This modem does the job well. The 32 downstreams and 8 upstreams keep the performance at its highest potential even with many users at the same time.
I would recommend this modem to anyone who is looking for one.

This review is incredibly easy. It is the fastest cable modem for my budget. I have Comcast. I plugged it in, gave it a few minutes to start up and cycle then went to the ISP activation page and bam. Done. My speeds have changed much from my previous modem (ISP provided), but they are more consist over longer periods of time.

Works very well, definitely worth it for those who have higher speed internet, plus a bit of space to still get upgrades to your speed still. I wish the case were a bit more modern looking and looked less cheap. They use what I can only imagine is the cheapest molded plastic possible. But its what's inside that counts, so just hide it in a closet and enjoy the full potential of your bandwidth.
