Great modem - works with Optimum. Easy to set up - just call your cable I recommend that you purchase your own modem and return the one that your cable company is leasing to you. This one pays for itself in less than one year.

Xfinity required a new Modem for my 400 plan. It didn't set up immediately after I logged in to the Xfinity app to add the modem, I had to run a reset with the Xfinity app. Works fine.

Comcast said my old modem wouldn't be able to handle the new speeds they were delivering. This modem was one of the recommended replacement models and I haven't had any noticeable problems. I have no idea if my speeds have actually increased, but my activity lights are doing what they're supposed to do and I connect to the internet every time.

While there is 1 (maybe 2) docsis 3.1 modems available out there now, but the service (from the source) don't quite need you to spend that kind of money yet. for 3.0 - this is the best cable modem for its price. says it supports up to 1.4GBps download speeds, has some 32 down stream and 8 upstream channels, all you could ever need. Great buy. i would recommend this.

I bought this Modem for my mom. After Cox Cable went sideways on her and began extracharging her for items they hadn't been charging her for, for over 5years, she had a random router sitting around and purchased this Modem to get a complete setup. She runs a laptop and her Smart TV constantly and it runs great. Highly recommended for great service and low cost

The modem worked great for 15 days. Which in BestBuy world is the best product because it’s one day out of their return policy.. So I had to deal with Arris on their warranty. Actually, Arris was very helpful and easy to deal with. I got a full replacement in two weeks. In the interim, I bought another. This time I bought the $4 BestBuy protection. I would recommend getting this because you get full replacement for a year from them. Good insurance for a few dollars.

Works great. Had been using the modem my cable company gave me with issues a couple of times a week. Since switching to this modem have not had a single problem.

I'm getting consistently excellent speed and connection from this modem, paired with fast cable internet. The modems I had been renting from the local cable company must have been pure junk in comparison. All the problems I fought with with rented modems for years is gone.

I am with Sparklight and had to have them activate the router, but besides that, it works well. *Note* This does not have wifi. This is only a modem. You will need a WiFi router to get WiFi through your home.

Previously, I had a Motorola Surfboard that was about 5 years old. We were having issues getting a strong signal in our back deck, so I decided to get a new Orbi Router. However, I wanted to make sure the signal coming in was strong, so decided to upgrade the modem too. I don't think this new modem makes a difference because the signal from Comcast is not the best. It is the same speed as before. But, the modem works as advertised, and I am sure that if our signal were better, we would get even better speed
