Customers commend the 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop for its excellent touch screen feature, fast performance, and reasonable price. They also appreciate the Windows 10 operating system, good battery life, and suitability for light gaming. However, some users have concerns about the display driver that frequently stops, the laptop being a fingerprint magnet, limited USB ports, and occasional internet connectivity issues.

I have the 8 GB 1TB model and I got it on open box special. So I paid $650-700 for it and it was an amazing buy. It functions great - Windows 10 is much better than Windows 8. I use it to dock into my monitors at home and the graphics and speed is perfect. I flip it and use it in tablet mode when sitting on the couch. The touch screen is super responsive. I highly recommend it!

Quality problems, but seems to be good overall

I bought this laptop earlier based on the reviews I read. Not much reviews at the time of purchase but they convinced me as well as previous models' reviews. I went into the store to play with it and tried out the keyboard. Being the hard drive is 5400RPM, it's surprisingly fast and responsive within Windows. Boot up time is as expected for mechanical drives. From research, you should be able to swap it out for a SSD if you wish to increase performance and possibly battery life. The touch screen is responsive and the screen doesn't wobble as much as others I've tried. It has a USB type C connector. It looks like it only supports data transfer and charging of devices like my Nexus 6P. I didn't see any information on using it to charge the laptop. My Nexus 6P cables aren't USB 3 spec so I couldn't test it.
I purchased it after an hour or so talking with a store associate and playing around with it. 2 huge problems right off the bat when I got home and opened it. The cover had stains/smudges. At first I thought it was oil from my fingers but I never touched that area yet and I couldn't wipe them off even with the included cloth. These were already there.
Then I turned on the machine. There is a noticeable yellowish, bleeding of light in the top, left corner of the screen. I made sure it wasn't just the boot up color effect so when it booted fully to the desktop, I changed the background color to black and it showed more prominently.
I'm kind of bummed about those two things. I really enjoyed the experience in the store and the price $699 is great for the spec but those things I cannot ignore. I will return it and check if another unit has the same issue. If I change my mind, I'll probably move up to the Zenbook series. They are a little bit more but the quality is a step higher as well.
I should give it a lower score but I had a great experience with it in the store. If you get one, just check for the issues I mentioned and other quality related issues.

Had the computer for about a month now. No problems, clean, runs smooth. Not a lot of unwanted programs. Battery life is good. I'm not a heavy user but I'm very happy with the purchase. I didn't think I needed the touch screen but I'm glad to have it. My daughters use it often. Windows 10 has been good, too.

For the price and features and can't really fault it much. The screen is very nice as far as color after calibrating it (none of them look great before) and it calibrated easy, the touch portion of the screen works well. Speed is right where it should be for the hardware and the flip to turn into a tablet works like a charm. Build quality is good and it is not riddled with bloat ware though it has a little. It is very quiet, runs cool and has good battery life.
The reason it does not get 5 stars is the audio sound, it is not much better than a dang cell phone. OK it is better but it is weak. That is not a big deal to me so I really don't care but if listening to music using you laptop speakers is a big deal to you it may be.

I found this PC to be truly wonderful from day one. I love that it's as slim as it is, I truly love it's brushed interior and top and soft touch bottom. This computer visually is a real masterpiece. I've never owned an ASUS and was very hesitant to purchase it however I feel in the long scheme of things I am very happy I have it. The device is well build and its internal components are well devised and very capable. CPU has almost 3GHZ of power and I have over 6 GB of ram with a 1TB HD making this an immensely capable little thing. It's battery life is great and I love it's charge time as well as its Eco mode. The light up key board with dim able screen make night use a breeze and all in all its preloaded OS ( Windoes 10 ) is pretty user friendly and pretty well developed so far. With all this said I have only had this PC for 3-4 months. One of my favorite features is its 2-1 tablet feature. The touch screen is masterfully designed and I love it's look in table mode both visually and through the OS change in tablet mode. HOWEVER , it has an occasional habit of sticking in tablet mode eve it isn't and sometime I just woke it from sleep it wasn't even in tablet mode. Worse off it some times does this when it starts up in PC mode and when it locks it prevents the mouse pad and Key board from working an the only resolve I have found is to restart the device. This being said it only happens occasionally and it's really not all to awful but it's dreadfully irritating and I wish I could fix it. I have not approached the store about warranty repairs or replacement yet. This problem aside. I really love it.

This unit replaces my 4 yr old ASUS i5 and has several upgrades - lighted keyboard and touchscreen (even if all apps aren't 100% compatible) are two of my faves. It still uses integrated graphics, so gamers and other intense 3D users (CAD, etc) may want to look elsewhere, but it has plenty of power for everyday apps once it gets fully booted up. Windows10 is nice but not headache free; still getting used to the differences from Win7. In general, build quality seems very good, hard drive is generous if a tad slow (5k rpm), battery life is excellent, sound is decent for laptop speakers, and full HD screen (1920x1080) is nice. I miss the optical drive; spent a little extra to get an external bluray writer. Other little things: Charging and drive lights are awkwardly hidden on the side next to the power button. The touchpad at times seems overly sensitive and other times doesn't respond at all for several seconds. I suspect ASUS' Smart Gesture app may have an issue that will hopefully get worked out soon. Overall a good laptop; haven't tried it much in tablet mode, but it seems to work.

I was looking for a laptop to replace my aging Asus K55N which has been the best laptop I've ever owned. I decided to stick with Asus and wanted a 15" screen, 2 in 1 design, 1TB hard drive and wireless AC. This Asus fit the bill. After a week I am thoroughly delighted with the purchase. It has a beautiful touch screen, battery life about twice that of my older Asus, a very nice backlit keyboard and a slim lightweight design. The only thing I would have liked to see would be an optical drive but I understand they are becoming a thing of the past and would also add bulk to the overall design. I wound up getting a Pioneer USB3 powered Blu Ray drive that works very well with the Asus. A minor annoyance is that after I close the unit and later open it without having turned it off, the touch pad has to be re-activated by hitting the Fn key and one of the function keys which brings the touchpad back to life.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with this computer and wouldn't hesitate to do it again..

Bought this for taking college classed primarily, but also the usual other things, streaming vid, light gaming... it performs well. (It's not set up a monster gamer so can't expect it to run top line that way) . Had a few keyboard/tablet confusion glitches but BBGEEKS sorted out and it's fine now. Would recommend for school based stuff. Actually warming up to Win 10 too although I didn't think I would like it...

I bought this after I managed to ruin my Toshiba, which I had loved! This computer seems to be good functionally. I do have a few complaints though: I don't like that the power button is on the side and so small you can hardly find it; sometimes it seems like I have to push it and hold it twice for it to power on. Also, the space bar makes this really aggravating tinkiling/high pitched clicking sound each time I use it...VERY irritating! I don't know if it's a defect, or if the spring is inherently squeaky or what. But, it does work well for everything I've used it for. The speed is good and plenty of memory. I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a built-in cd/dvd drive, I don't download a lot of media, and have a lot of discs I like to be able to use in my computer without having to hook up an external drive. The cover of the laptop is like a brushed-metal look, but I don't think it actually is because it shows every finger/handprint, so it always looks like it needs to be wiped clean. And, the speakers are nothing like the harmon karden I was used to!! But, I guess for the price, it's doing ok. I gave it a shot because the reviews/ratings on Toshiba products had seemed to have fallen in the last few years. Would I recommend; yes if on a budget. No, if you can afford to spend more.

I purchased an open box item - it had all the things I felt I needed - back lite keyboard, touch screen, and laptop or tablet use.
Still not sure how to do many things - trial and error.
The machine is a little heavier than I would like - but the lighter alternatives were much more expensive.
Asus was recommended by Best Buy sales people. ( although the Branson store didn't seem to care if you bought or not) (I purchased in Springfield Mo.

Purchased this laptop for a small business. Replaced the HD with an SSD and the laptop performs very fast. The touch-screen is a great feature, but I have not really found a use for the tablet mode. This is a good laptop for anyone who needs a general business laptop.

I got this computer for $400, for that price it is a great computer. For full retail price it is just an okay computer. The touch screen is very good quality, not that cheap plastic stuff. I swapped the HDD out for a SSD and the performance has gotten much better. Do not for a second think that this computer would be decent with gaming because it won't. However for everyday computing it is great. Plus having the touch screen is great.

I've had my Asus laptop for about 2 months now and so far so good. This is the first time I've gone out of my "Sony" zone and decided on another brand. This was recommended because it had all the bells and whistles I was looking for and at the right price. I love the look and it's working great!

This was brand new into my Best Buy, so no reviews really available. I purchased based on happiness with previous ASUS products, performance/price ratio, and Geek Squad protection plan.
So far, has paid off as expected. Stable platform for Windows 10, does as expected. However, I continue to run Google Chrome as my primary browser and search engine. Just prefer it to Explorer, although the new Explorer is far superior to its
Very satisfied with the purchase. Not quite a 5, but if they had a 4.5, I'd have given it that.

The ASUS 2 in 1 Laptop is a great laptop for college students and Gamers. From a college student's point of view, this laptop is very reliable and can take care of most basic tasks that an average college student can do. From A gamer's point of view, this laptop is near perfect, but the only thing that holds this product from being a 5/5 is the lack of a video card. Besides that issue, games runs very smooth, and videos looks amazing on this laptop.

Needed a new laptop after getting the blue screen of death on our other. Chose this laptop because of the processor, touch screen, unit size, and options like folding flip hinge ability. This laptop needed to run some designing programs that required a bit better processor but had a screen large enough to see and have the touch screen ability to work with. Its size is perfect for us to work on a small desk area, and is very easy to travel with and not feel like your carrying around a huge screen and unit in hand. The performance has been great and we have no complaints. Also we have two young kids in our house and I can highly recommend this particular touch screen model with hinging ability as a great learning tool. We have used this laptop multiple times as a learning tool for our kids to sit and touch the screen without worry about the keyboard in the way so they can follow along with whatever learning program we are having them do

Works well except it keeps having an issue locking up and it comes up with "display driver stops working" and no changes we've made helps. This happens frequently when I go to a website that has to load many photos. Started happening within a few days of purchase.

I have never heard of the asus brand til we went in to best buy to browse for options for everyday use and streaming movies. last computer was an hp and I am very happy that we went with the asus this time. it is sturdy since we have a 2 yr old and the touch screen and ability to flip screen to make like tablet are very helpful options. we have had this computer now for several months and it is working great no problems so far.
