    Nice laptop, solid!

I bought this laptop to support my graphics business. It is well made and a solid machine. Why 4 stars, I need a laptop that has compatibility with average docking stations and the ability to charge that battery from a USB C. Unfortunately, this computer uses a proprietary power supply, and I would have to use that, plus a USB C connection to a docking station. This was not a viable option, especially for travel. I did return the laptop, but if you don't have an issue with the docking station and power supply, well it is a sweet machine.

I haven't used it enough to really give a solid review, but here is what I know so far... - The OLED screen is AWESOME! - The touch screen works wonderfully! - So far, all the software has worked smoothly. I had a few issues, but those were just basic things that just required a few setting changes, and I just didn't know that at first. - It's been running fairly fast and only had delays a few times, I believe to my trying to initiate a million things at once. My fault. Don't try doing a bunch of stuff at the same time when all of that stuff takes up a ton of space. It will lag. But just doing normal stuff, you can have a million things open. ... That's all I got! It's been pretty good so far!

Beautiful OLED laptop with plenty of power for creation. This laptop was an upgrade from an older ASUS. I was debating between this one and the G16 and ultimately picked this one as my gaming didn't require a fast refresh rate. If you're playing online fps games you may look to the gaming laptop. Battery life is okay but that's expected with the graphics card. Heat isnt too crazy

I have been looking for something as my daily driver, and i just recently got in to editing videos. I was not sure which machine to go with. I have to admit this is laptop is lightning fast i mean video rendering is extremely quick was not expecting this from a laptop. Sound is amazing, display is beautiful (i wish it was little brighter) built in control wheel works flawlessly.

My husband uses this laptop strictly for photography. Very fast and great quality. He keeps low lighting in the room as he edits, so the screen reflection isn't and issue.

Good functionality and performance but the price per value has become skewed now as the 64RAM SKU is at a similar price to this 32RAM SKU. Only issue was chrome browser screen tearing when under moderate load. Not sure if that's a hardware or app issue.

Do not ever ship to home

Laptop is top notch. Only buy in store or somewhere other than Best Buy. Would be nice to actually receive the item. Second time ordering ship to home and second time product never arrived from Best Buy. Zero updates from Best Buy, tracking stalled since day 1, except agent said can ‘definitely ensure arrival’ if you wait another week or so. Why can you not definitely ensure delivery when purchase?

Unboxing and First Impressions Right out of the box, the ProArt P16 feels like a serious piece of hardware. The packaging is minimal and clean, and the laptop itself looks sharp in its matte Nano Black finish. It has that professional aesthetic—sleek, subtle branding, and solid build quality with just a hint of flair in the ProArt badge on the lid. Inside the box, you get the laptop, a 200W power brick (which is surprisingly slim), and a USB-C to Ethernet adapter. No bloat, just the essentials. Setup and Driver Download Initial setup was fast, but I did run into Wi-Fi issues right out of the gate. It connected to my network, but speeds were inconsistent and flaky. Once I downloaded and installed all the official ASUS drivers from their support site, everything leveled out. Wi-Fi was completely stable after that, and performance across the board felt a lot smoother—definitely something to knock out early if you pick one up. After installing the latest Windows updates and drivers, Copilot+ features activated properly, and the laptop began to feel more responsive with AI integrations in place. Display and Touch Experience The 4K OLED touchscreen is the star of the show. It’s ultra-sharp, color-accurate, and bright enough for just about any indoor setting. The gloss finish can pick up some reflections, but the quality makes up for it. This screen is Pantone-validated and aimed at creators, and it shows—blacks are true black, and colors pop. It’s only a 60Hz panel, which I definitely noticed coming from high refresh rate screens. For content creation, photo work, or browsing, it’s not a dealbreaker. Scrolling feels just fine, but it’s not buttery like 120Hz or 144Hz panels. If you’re used to fast screens, you’ll pick up on it, but it’s not bad—just something to be aware of. The touchscreen itself is responsive and accurate. I found it helpful for timeline scrubbing in Premiere Pro, quick edits, and even just pinch-to-zoom while browsing. Keyboard, Trackpad, and Design The keyboard feels excellent—there’s good travel, spacing is tight but not cramped, and it’s comfortable for long typing sessions. The backlighting is clean and even, and the keys have a nice tactile response without being loud. The trackpad is massive, smooth, and very responsive. I also appreciate the extra inputs like the ProArt Dial integration on some apps—it’s subtle, but helpful in editing workflows. ASUS AI Apps: StoryCube and MuseTree Two apps come preloaded: StoryCube and MuseTree, part of ASUS’s new AI creative suite. • StoryCube uses AI to organize and tag media. I imported some RAW photos and short videos, and it grouped and tagged everything surprisingly well—faces, locations, and even objects. It’s a smart tool for quick organization, especially if you’re working with tons of media. • MuseTree is more experimental. It’s basically a brainstorming app that uses generative AI to help you create visual mood boards, story ideas, or even content structure. It’s clearly aimed at creators, and while it’s not essential, it’s fun to play around with—especially for early planning or conceptual work. Performance and Content Creation With the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 32GB RAM, and the RTX 5070, the ProArt P16 handles creative workloads without breaking a sweat. I ran Lightroom, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve all in the same day and had zero slowdowns. Exports were fast, multitasking was effortless, and the fans stayed quiet during most of my editing. Rendering 4K footage or working on large image sets was no problem. This machine clearly isn’t just about specs—it’s optimized for real-world creator use. Light Gaming and Browsing This is not a gaming laptop, and ASUS doesn’t pretend it is. That said, the RTX 5070 is still very capable. I was able to run games like Genshin Impact, Fortnite, and Valorant on medium to high settings at 1440p with playable frame rates. Don’t expect maxed-out ray tracing or ultra-high FPS, but for casual or lighter gaming, it handles things better than I expected. For everyday use—web browsing, streaming, multitasking—it’s excellent. No stutter, no lag, even with dozens of Chrome tabs and some background creative apps running. The fan noise stays low unless you’re pushing it hard. Battery Life Battery life is solid. I got around 9 to 10 hours on average with mixed use—browsing, content writing, light editing, and occasional video playback. Under heavier creative workloads or light gaming, that drops closer to 5–6 hours, which is still respectable for this kind of hardware. Fast charging is a nice bonus—it can go from about 20% to 70% in just over half an hour. Final Thoughts The ASUS ProArt P16 is clearly built for creators who want a powerful, well-designed machine with a beautiful screen and real performance—not just flashy specs. The 4K OLED display, AI tools, and reliable finger-friendly touchscreen make it a strong companion for visual work. Add in solid battery life and a fantastic keyboard, and you’ve got a real creative workstation in a portable package. The 60Hz refresh rate is the only area that might give some pause, but it’s totally workable for the target audience. If you’re looking for a content-first laptop that can handle some gaming on the side and doesn’t compromise on screen quality or design, this one absolutely fits the bill.

The laptop isn’t as amazing as you would think for $2.5k. The shell is easily damaged, and prints stains the outside, as well as the tracking pad. It gets incredibly hot regardless of what you do, so it makes you ask the question, “why do my fans sound like a jet engine?” My poor experience with this laptop regards much more to the incredibly grotesque customer service of BestBuy. My laptop did not arrive exactly when described, and thus I was out on a trip. When I returned and unpackaged, I discovered a large dent on the surface of the laptop. BestBuy refused to help me in anyway even though it had occurred and been BEFORE their “2 week support claim,” because I had not spent a useless amount of money on a protection plan that clearly would have done nothing, as they won’t even help me with a product that was shipped damaged. I spoke to ASUS about this and they even sent referrals to BestBuy about replacing this and they still refused. I was hung up on and never called back multiple times from BestBuy because the agents don’t have basic people skills.
