Well like most of you mainly read i was recommended to upgrade the cooling from Best Buy. So I had them install a water cooler and they recommended a new case so I told them to transfer all the components into a new case. And o couldn’t be happier it runs modern titles great! At a good frame rate and resolution! I don’t know much about building PCs so I had Best Buy geek squad install everything and transfer everything for me they did such a great job!! Recommend if you buy this upgrade case and cooler and you’ll be set!! Best purchase I’ve made

Great computer with great parts! All Asus brand also has a b560-G mobo and the 3070 and the intel i7 are great! Of course you have to upgrade the cooling but who doesn’t do that anyway, slap a good Cooler on and ur all set not one problem at all so far, all games can run on just about High-ultra settings and get 144fps, it stays so cool that my fan in the back doesn’t even kick on to cool it down

I got this after having read reviews about the bad cooling and fans and stuff, so I planned on upgrading it eventually. But holyyyyy, I didn’t expect it to be as bad as it was. Straight out of the box, this thing can’t handle games and sounds like an old vacuum cleaner. Loaded up games like PGA 2k21 and Warzone and the cpu temp was in the 90s and topping out at 100. CPU cooler and exhaust fans (both 92mm) were a joke. Not nearly enough airflow to handle the heat in that tiny case. Also, the thermal paste looks like it was applied by a child who thought they were fingerpainting. Terrible. I ended up getting a Noctua NH-U9S off Amazon. Most coolers/heatsinks are too bulky, but it fit perfectly and lowered the cpu temp a good 20 degrees while gaming. I also got a couple extra 92mm fans and mounted one as an intake and replaced the exhaust fan as well. This lowered it another 10 degrees or so. Usually around 65-70 degrees while gaming. Not bad, but could still be better. THEN, I did what I should have done in the beginning… upgraded the case. I bought an NZXT H510 case, which comes with 4 120mm fans pre-installed and has more than enough room for all the components in the ROG setup. I kept the same cpu cooler, installed everything in the new case, and it’s now running at around 50-60 degrees while gaming and it’s not loud at all. Plus, the case has some nice rgb lights that add a little flare to the look. Overall, it’s worth it if you’re willing to spend the money on the case/cooling. Especially with 3070s being limited in availability and sometimes overpriced, finding a rig with a cpu and gpu of that quality for that price is great. There definitely is some value in it. I consistently get 120fps in warzone and every other game I’ve tried runs really smooth. Gave it 2 starts simply for that. HOWEVER, if you don’t want to put any work into a pc and just want to game out the box, don’t get this.

      Dear Matt,

Thank you for writing a coment and for sharing your experience with the PC. We do understand your concern about thermal issues.

The cooling system in the PC is adequate to dissipate excessive heat efficienctly while under heavy load. It is normal for the desktop PC, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Great Machine After a Simple Cooler Swap

I've had it for about a month now and it works beautifully. As almost every other review has said, the stock cooling isn't sufficient. I went with a Corsair AIO and installation was decently simple, provided you know what you're doing. Once the new cooler was in place it can handle almost any game at 1440p at the very least. Overall, I would heavily recommend this if you're fine with opening it up to change out the cooler. Even with the $150 or so to get one, it's still a great value.

The price on this machine was too good to pass up. I was looking for an upgrade at pc and this fit the bill. With the price of GPUs out there right now I figured i couldnt go wrong. This guy overheats really badly though. I have had to add a fan and add thermal paste to make this thing usable at all while gaming at a high level. So far it has been satisfactory but nothing to right home about. I would probably not buy again but i needed it so here i am.

4 stars because I feel it could use a bump in RAM from the get go. Its enough right out the gate, but as you start to play more intensive games and stream and edit it does bottle neck a little. Not so much not to consider this an excellent PC though! I recommend this to anyone interested in getting a PC!

Overall, pc prforms well, sounds like a jet engine, but there is some definite value for this pc. I would reccomend adding a fan in the from of the pc on the bottom, so that some cool air blows on the gpu. I find that hot air can kind of get stuck in the bottom in the case and seems to only come out via convection, but a fan in the front bottom of the case fixes this mostly.

Like others say, the ventilation is horrible. Get yourself a few extra case fans and liquid cooling, and get it all put in before even loading up windows. Updating windows alone has caused some buyers’ rigs to overheat. Get this done and you’ll have an amazing gaming rig for a great deal.

Overall works well, the cpu cooler its installed with though is a big flaw since it doesn't do a good enough job. If you consider getting it I recommend swapping the cpu cooler, and installing a few intake fans to help cool the pc.

Excellent gaming PC. I struggle to find any game it can't handle even at 4K! Only con is that it is a little loud, but a new exhaust fan does the trick! Highly recommend!

When it works, It works great, However, the thermals on this PC are highly concerning, it reaches 100 C quite often, shuts off randomly, and throttles all the time. I've done everything short of voiding my warranty to get this pc to run stably and to no avail. If you want a plug and play experience, then this PC is not for you. Save your money and wait for the parts to become available. It isn't worth the hassle, as ASUS customer support is horrible.

Well don't waste more time waiting to catch a 3070 in the drops on best buy, i try it for 10 months, and i lost 10 months on not having a good pc for play games, this one is all u need, and you can change in the future a few pieces for better performance, buts its better that not having a decent graphic card. how much time are you gona waste waiting to catch a graphic card, lest be really, full stocks of gpu are not gona happen at least for a few years.

5 stars after you do the required upgrades to it !! A new case (corsair 4000D airflow) and liquid cooling (kraken z63 or which ever you like) and that’s pretty much it. Its fast and performance is really good and next level. Runs smooth and no loud at all. Best way to get a 30 series card in this gpu shortage and its q great deal for the parts it come with. So buy it if you can!
