Terrible prebuilt
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can not recommend this PC at this price when it won't function with out a cooler what is the point of a warranty if they send you parts that won't even work correctly. If Asus will fix/replace or just send a new cooler with it it would be worth it the point of a pre build it to be prebuilt not to Finnish someone's shotty workmanship.

I thought I bought a PC not a frying pan?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. You get 1 stars because a good GPU and a nice looking internal build but I think they forgot to put thermal paste on my CPU. With the case open, if my CPU hits over 20, yes 20% load my CPU spikes up to 100deg C and throttles. This is with the side of the case off for better cooling. For a nearly $2,000 desktop this is disgusting and unacceptable. I now have to spend $75 to $150 more to put an AIO or some other form of cooling on this desktop just to make it usable. Asus is lucky there is a GPU shortage or this would be returned in an instant. I do know I will never buy another ASUS desktop again. Throttling is VERY evident in games and the fan sounds like a jet engine. I would highly recommend you do not buy this PC and go for something else.

Stay Away - Wouldnt even make it through setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turned it on for the first time and Holy Jet engine it was loud. It shut off after 5 seconds. Kept on trying and eventually got a CPU over Temp Error. Was never even able to get to the set up screen. I know I was taking a chance after reading all the negative reviews. I even bought an AIO to have installed. Im glad i didnt touch it. Not worth the effort and headache. If you are reading this RUN!

Not Recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read other reviews before purchasing. After setting up halfway thru the pc, the stock fan runs really loud then ends up having a screen pop out and say my CPU OVER TEMPERATURE. This is only halfway setting up the pc not even at the desktop screen yet. Very disappointed.

Prepare to spend extra money if you buy this.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this hoping for a smooth out-of-box pc with a nice GPU. Well, it wasn't smooth at all. I followed other's suggestions and bought a corsair H100i AIO. This fit after a little bit of work on the front. Although it did help, the airflow on the front is so poor that it had to operate at its peak to keep the CPU somewhat cool. My next upgrade was 32GB of corsair vengeance as I run lots of FEA studies for my work. I added an intake fan on the top using some zip ties. There are no mounting holes on the top. Why? No idea. The only fan that comes with this is a small, super loud exhaust fan. Who designed this? After all of this extra work, I had a VERY noisy machine, and it was still thermal throttling. I recently bought a corsair iCUE 4000X case. This solved all of my problems. The GPU and CPU are MUCH cooler in this case and can operate faster. I got a 40% increase in FPS from better airflow/cooling. Oh, and it's near silent. ASUS engineers should be ashamed of themselves for building such a terrible case. I do not recommend this product unless you are in dire need of a GPU. I've spent well over $2k on this project. If I were to start again, I'd go another route.

Poor design
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awful cooling. Garbage ram. Mediocre PSU. The case is just not meant for extensive gaming sessions. The 3070 is great, but better off in a different rig. Asus cut corners because they knew the 3070 was enough to sell this overpriced machine.

Posted .Dear Cody chaosx,
We do understand your disappointment with the build quality of the desktop PC and your concern about thermal issues.
The cooling system is efficient in dissipating heat properly. It is normal for the laptop to generate heat while under heavy load especially during, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down. Keeping Windows and drivers up to date will maintain optimum system stability and performance.

Decent Specs Plagued by Poor Build
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm giving this a 1-star review because of the absolute idiocy of the build of this computer. If you want something that works well out of the box, do NOT get this desktop (like others are saying)! The fans run crazy and the computer runs hot from simply starting it up and idling in Windows from the get go. This computer overheated and turned off automatically when just sitting in Windows doing nothing. Continued to overheat, got blue screen of death once, and would get CPU overheated alerts when trying to start. Also, when trying to restart the screen would go black and the computer itself wouldn't load up Windows again. I ended up replacing it for another and decided to make the modifications needed. Once you've put money into liquid cooling, this computer works well. However, the case is EXTREMELY tight for making modifications, so be prepared. You can install a double fan liquid cooling unit without removing the bottom cover which is keeping the cables pretty clean, however, it does require you to move around several cables that are secured and re-route them a bit. Once done, it'll go quiet...but it's a good amount of time invested to fix something that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. End of the day - don't buy this if you expect to be able to have no issues right out of the box. If you want a good system once you've made the proper modification, then it'll worth well. Modifications for this aren't just a "nice to have", they're REQUIRED!

DO NOT BUY - INSTANT SHUTDOWN
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY THIS PC! I first read the reviews of people complaining about it not having enough cooling, but I'm just a normal guy that likes to play casual games. However, this PC has shut down suddenly within minutes of doing ANYTHING that taxes the CPU at all. Just a straight system halt shutdown. My wife was just doing a word document and it shut down on her. I can't even imagine trying to deal with ASUS support on this, so I just boxed it up and back it goes to BB.

Not reliable due to overheating
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not recommend getting this pc the cooling system is to weak so the cpu overheats and the pc shuts down. Went to geek squad to get it looked at and they couldn't get the same issue to happen so its random. Had it shut off on me downloading files, trying to play forza, and even watching videos on the browser. They said i could upgrade the cooling but they recommend a liquid cooling and the case is to tight so at that point i would say just get a different pc.

From an experienced pc builder, stay far away
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who has built many pcs for my self and friends, lets just say I have something to say about this. Lets start of with I only got this because it had a 3070, or else I would always build my own pc. So the first the wrong is that the cpu over heats. It can't go past 20% load without overheating and crashing the pc. It literally hit 100 degrees celsius with only a few chrome tab opens. I put in new thermal paste, turned up the fan speed and the same problem persists. Why is there only 1 fan? Why is there no intake fans? Why cant I install more fans? There is literally a large block on the top of the pc blocking me from installing any fans. The only good thing about this pc is the rgb on the case and the 3070. This whole build is really bad and its not worth it for getting a 3070 or what ever gpu is in it. Stay clear.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this recently during the sale. Spent an hour downloading updates and installing a few games. Started playing one game and the system shut off within minutes (ostensibly due to overheating). CPU 100c really hot. LOUD!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this computer a five out of five with all the components but you really screwed me over with the CPU cooler. My CPU is hitting 100c during gaming and that is not good! Im pretty sure that means its throttling so its cutting back on the performance too.
