||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer a few days ago. Like everyone else says the cooling in this system must be addressed immediately. I bought a Corsair AIO ICUE H100i Elite Capellix. This system runs extremely hot, legit makes my room hotter and I have a pretty big room. I feel like whoever manufactures these definitely knows that the one 94mm exhaust isn’t even moderately close to enough to cool these components. I mean why not throw a better cooling system and up charge a little. Instead you have a ton of unhappy customers and they obviously don’t care because they wouldn’t let them go out like this. This is extremely unacceptable when the final price is just under $1,750.00 after tax. Then you have to go buy a cooler $100-200 mine was $165.00 after tax. Now we’re pushing almost $2000.00. If I decide to keep I’d have to buy a case because this one is extremely tight and getting more case fans in will be a rigging challenge of its own. I highly recommend looking else where if you’re not comfortable modding it does take some work and time it’s not just “2 screws” like I read on another review. I got this build because finding a 3,000 series is a joke right now. I’m highly contemplating on returning this.I built another rig that had a 3900x AMD CPU and a 2070 Super that definitely out performs this rig easily. Gaming and other tasks. It’s a shame they’re letting this go out the door and into customer hands this way. You should want your customers to be happy and come back for seconds or more. There’s no way I’d ever buy a prebuilt from them again. One of the biggest sellers is word of mouth. What do you do when your customers are unsatisfied. Absolutely nothing and you keep sending them out that way, it’s honestly sad. I give it a 2 star because at-least it works and you can game on it. It is everything but a stellar experience though. Cable management is pretty good but if you throw a 240mm AIO you will have to take the wire cover off unless you strip and reroute the wires. This is definitely not my first rodeo and this wasn’t a fun experience. It’s not fair that I have to go spend all this extra money to get a decently functioning machine because the manufacturer just flat out doesn’t care about their customers happiness. The Ram is extremely cheap, the SSD is as well. The best components are the MOBO, CPU (LOCKED) and GPU. The other components were cheap. I’m not expecting to get a Thread ripper, and a 3090 for $1750 but I’m also not expecting to get something that should be around $1200. Please make your future customers happy since you could barley make your present customers happy. Please start listening to your customers we’re the ones who make your job and business possible.

Good build with stupid airflow design
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price is OK. Build quality is good. But case is terrible with only 1 small rear exhaust fan and stock CPU cooler fan. In order to make it work, replace CPU cooler, remove the PSU shroud cover and add 2 front 120mm fans + 1 120mm and 1 92mm on top.

2* as is. Needs AIO cooling. 5* after easy mod.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Agree with all the reviewers. Need to update cooling. Cpu was running 55c while transferring files from old computer to new computer. Shut down once from overheating. The CPU fan sounds like a small hurricane while downloading updates. 2* as is. If you are afraid to do any mods. I do NOT recommend this computer. It is super loud and runs super hot and will shut down on you. After a 150 dollar AIO (bestbuy had this in stock on the shelf so I grabbed it iCUE H100i Elite Capellux), some minor surgery (had to remove bottom plate that hid the power cords... It's easy, just a couple screws) it's a solid computer. At the end of the day I now have a super quiet, cool, lightning fast RTX 3070. 5* after my easy mods (complete noob. Package directions were all I needed). I think it's still worth it and would do it again.

Posted .Dear Cuddlez,
We do understand your concern about the fan noise.
It is normal, just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please make sure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

Great Components Bad case
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Components Bad case. Airflow is horrible. CPU gets in the 80s F with stock cpu fan I installed AIO barely as there is no room in the case, lots of modifications. I'm now looking for a case to transfer everything to. I asked how many USB 3 in this and was told 6 however they are USB 2. There aren't enough USB ports in this only 2 Type A and 2 Type C. If you're a computer builder you will be disappointed with this case design/ airflow. CPU and GPU are great otherwise runs anything I throw at them.

The best descriptive review possible.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A prebuilt is something you buy, plug, and play. Unfortunately, I couldn’t add a cooler master 212 in the case which led me to buy a new case ( Corsair 220t). Now this thing is tuning cooler than ever and it’s a monster. Since I upgraded the case I’m able to upgrade more than ever. Asus case especially this *** of a case sucks more than anything. Built terrible with its dimensions and couldn’t add a 120mm chassis rear fan. The design of the case was a hotel for dust after just 1-2 days. It is what it is but if you do buy this know a thing or two about computers before you start buying this thing cause this thing will eventually need a case swap with better cooling. After this is done swap a few bios settings as you can see with my ram lol and you’re done with this review :).

Gut this and get a new case for it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this after having read reviews about the bad cooling and fans and stuff, so I planned on upgrading it eventually. But holyyyyy, I didn’t expect it to be as bad as it was. Straight out of the box, this thing can’t handle games and sounds like an old vacuum cleaner. Loaded up games like PGA 2k21 and Warzone and the cpu temp was in the 90s and topping out at 100. CPU cooler and exhaust fans (both 92mm) were a joke. Not nearly enough airflow to handle the heat in that tiny case. Also, the thermal paste looks like it was applied by a child who thought they were fingerpainting. Terrible. I ended up getting a Noctua NH-U9S off Amazon. Most coolers/heatsinks are too bulky, but it fit perfectly and lowered the cpu temp a good 20 degrees while gaming. I also got a couple extra 92mm fans and mounted one as an intake and replaced the exhaust fan as well. This lowered it another 10 degrees or so. Usually around 65-70 degrees while gaming. Not bad, but could still be better. THEN, I did what I should have done in the beginning… upgraded the case. I bought an NZXT H510 case, which comes with 4 120mm fans pre-installed and has more than enough room for all the components in the ROG setup. I kept the same cpu cooler, installed everything in the new case, and it’s now running at around 50-60 degrees while gaming and it’s not loud at all. Plus, the case has some nice rgb lights that add a little flare to the look. Overall, it’s worth it if you’re willing to spend the money on the case/cooling. Especially with 3070s being limited in availability and sometimes overpriced, finding a rig with a cpu and gpu of that quality for that price is great. There definitely is some value in it. I consistently get 120fps in warzone and every other game I’ve tried runs really smooth. Gave it 2 starts simply for that. HOWEVER, if you don’t want to put any work into a pc and just want to game out the box, don’t get this.

Good parts hampered by a terrible cooling solution
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.---------------------------The good--------------------------- $1600 at time of purchase Asus B560 motherboard w/ Wifi 6 and BT 5 Intel Core i7-11700F Asus Geforce RTX 3070 Dual WD SN530 512GB nVME SSD Case has front top mounted USB Type C and the RGB lighting is fun No bloatware (if you don't count MS office and Asus Armory Crate) ---------------------------The Bad--------------------------- 3200 Mhz RAM runs at CAS 22 timings A single 92mm exhaust fan (annoying sound even at low speed) and poor CPU cooler makes for a loud system that is constantly thermally throttling the CPU. The case is too small to fit 120mm tower-style cpu coolers. ---------------------------Conclusion--------------------------- It will be a good PC only if you upgrade the cooling solution. The stock setup is loud, hot and will not provide the full performance the CPU is capable of. Which is a shame, as the components would combine to make a solid gaming PC at a great price. Get a 92mm tower style cpu cooler (e.g. be quiet! BK030 Pure Rock Slim 2) and at least one 120mm intake fan or a 240mm AIO liquid cpu cooler. If you are not comfortable upgrading the cooling, do not buy this pre-built.

Posted .Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for reaching out to us. We're sorry to hear about the issues you're having with this model. The noise that is emitting from the computer is known as coil whine. When the electrical current is increased to a certain point, the magnetic field around the coil can cause it to vibrate, which produces the whiny sound. After a short amount of time the noise should go away as the components regulates. However, if it is that the sound is too much for you, then we would recommend that you have this device sent in for servicing.

Two pros rest are cons
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Good GPU and decent CPU. Cons: Everything else inside is junk. EVERYTHING. I would say don't get this unless you know how to do the work or know someone. The case is the smallest case possible at that too so doing the work is fun too. In my opinion, you're going to need to get a whole new case or get a cpu cooler which I don't see why they put that dinky whatever it is on the CPU. Overall you're better off just getting a new case if you already got it and regretting it like because I'm just now reading the reviews. I got excited seeing a good GPU and decent CPU so I just ordered it. Hopefully you don't mess up like me and see this before hand.

Terrible, TERRIBLE Cooling
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Guts are solid but the case is a dumpster fire. No room to mount fans along the top of the case since the motherboard is jammed right up to the top but there looks to be some space at the front to hopefully squeeze a radiator. This pc comes with a stock intel CPU cooler, 1 exhaust fan and 0 intake fans which is FAR from adequate. CPU temps regularly hit 100C before the jet turbine of an exhaust fan kicks on and helps to pull some air out only to have it immediately hit 100C again when the fan kicks back off. In my particular unit, the CPU cooler was also installed terribly where they somehow used about 4x more thermal paste than was necessary but still had big air pockets between the CPU and heatsink. Temps are better after reseating the CPU cooler but are still much hotter than I'm comfortable with. I haven't dared to benchmark anything yet for fear of it literally catching on fire from lack of cooling components. If you are willing to put extra time, money and creativity into getting more cooling crammed into this tiny case then it's an ok buy at best. Overall, I would not recommend this pc.

Noisy case fan revving up will drive you insane.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible, horrible, horrible. It's noisy and it's driving me crazy. I don't know if it is the poor 11700F CPU that yoyo up and down in temperature or just the horrendous fans in this desktop. There are only a single case fan and that is the small 90mm fan in the back. I am pretty sure it is this fan that revs up like a jet engine whenever I do anything that requires any processing power. Yep, no front fans, no fans on top of the case. I have a couple of 120mm case fan laying around so I added it to the case. It wasn't easy getting the case off and adding the fan. It helped a little bit so I then decided to change the stock cpu cooler to something a bit better. Things are less noisy but at least once an hour, I still hear the darn rear case fan revving up. Turns out there is a setting in the Bios where the fan setting are all messed up. Changing the fan setting from standard to silent help stop a lot of the revving. Still, I'm conditioned to hear the case fan revving up and it *still* do it much too often. Everything else is great, I'm just not sure how long I can stand listening to this noise.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for a week, and not too impressed. I should have read the comments better which a few state that unless you upgrade the cooler, this Desktop can and will shutdown randomly. I've read and researched online quite a bit. Updated graphics drivers and made sure Bios was good. Tonight probably my last night and will return/exchange tomorrow. Maybe easy to fix this PC with upgrades, but I was looking for something I could use off the bat to gaming/mining and this isn't it. Processor and GPU are great, but setup is horrible.

Absurd and hilarious out of the box.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely the builder's prebuilt system. What do I mean by that? Its absolutely unusable out of the box and you get to enjoy completely rebuilding it! That's great if you only bought it due it being a reasonable-ish value at a time when GPUs are unobtainable. That's not so good if you're buying this prebuilt system expecting it to... work as a prebuilt system. So let's start with the good: The 3070 is a FHR (non-LHR) card and comes with a cooler that is incredibly quiet under heavy load. It appears to be an Asus dual-rtx3070-8g (Your mileage may vary on this. Some report getting EVGA cards.) The PSU is over-spec'd for this system, being a 750 watt Great Wall unit (Great Wall is an OEM for many outstanding power supplies which are rebadged as Corsair, EVGA, etc.) The maximum amount of power I can get the system to pull is 465 watts. The SSD (WD SN530) is a... fine... drive. It's not particularly performant. Mine writes at about 1.6GB/s within the SLC cache and about 800MB/s directly to the media. I also own an SN550 which is a bit faster across the board but I'm not going to complain about it. The case is visually unobjectionable, it has a rather gamer-y "ROG etched in the glass side panel with lots of ventilation. You can turn all of the RGB off easily as well. The motherboard: This is a very strong offering by Asus It's the ROG STRIX B560-G GAMING WIFI. Excepting a single oversight (more on that later) it's very good. It has strong power delivery that's (way) overbuilt for this CPU and great networking options, namely the Intel 225v 2.5 Gbps Ethernet and AX200 2x2 wireless 6/AX wireless. It also has Intel Bluetooth v5.2. I have "gigabit+" Internet which is rated for 1200Mbps and I can pull a full 1236 Mbps from the Internet through it and just under 800 Mbps when using wifi from about 12 feet away. Now for the bad: Cooling. If you've read more than 2 reviews about this system then you already know what I'm going to say. The system is so loud that it was triggering Team's "you are muted" during a conference call about 20 feet away from the system. People in the call stopped me and said they couldn't hear because it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel... on a different computer. Yikes. Also, as many others have reported. I had several crashes where it would reboot to a "CPU over temperature!", enter setup warning while the computer was basically idling. I knew going into this that was an issue. I had ordered a Noctua Noctua NH-U9S Chromax to replace the pathetic, embarrassing included cooler and a Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 fan to replace the deafening rear fan. Now the system is inaudible from more than 12 inches or so away, even under 100% (synthetic) load on CPU and GPU. Now, no big deal to change a CPU HSF and rear fan, right? Not so fast. The fan header by the rear fan is only for AIO pump rather than case fans. To swap it out you have to either use an extension cable (I used a Noctua NA-SEC1 30 cm) to run it around the back of the board to the very bottom of the motherboard. Most motherboards have at least one fan header close to the rear exhaust because, well because nearly all systems have rear exhaust fans. If you want to save some money you can remove the graphics card and run it around there but it looks really messy and removing the card is a pain. Why is it a pain? because they used a support bracket with tiny screws to support it. Putting them back is an exercise in frustration, even with a magnetized screwdriver. The case does not support anything other than a single fan at the rear. It has plenty of holes that look like they could take a fan screw, but unless you're willing to break out the drill you're out of luck. The thermal paste was spotty and probably 30% of the center of the CPU was bright and shiny when it should have been grey with paste. Now, the case itself, while looking decent does have some weird shortcomings. If you plan on using the expansion slot (16x physical, 4x electrical/logical) then know the rear slot covers are break-off rather than replaceable. Also, the metal between the slots is cut for no obvious reason which scrapes the paint off any card you put into them. There also isn't a screw provided for putting any cards into the system. It's a standard ATX 6-32 hexagon screw if you need or order one. I settled on this system because I needed a 4x or larger slot for my 10Gb network card. The Intel 11700F is... what it is: the result of Intel stagnation in the form of 8 locked cores and 16 threads. The fact this is the F means you lose Quick Sync which is one of the only reasons to consider Intel at this point. (Other reasons are: Optane, compression performance, and Intel-optimized software such as MATLAB) My final low is the RAM. I received RAM that showed up in the UEFI as Hyundai. It's actually branded SK hynix hma81gu6djr8n-xn 2x8GB. This appears to be the value-est of value memory with very loose timings at 3200MHz. I had 64GB of Corsair LPX DDR4 which replaced the included RAM after I validated that the included RAM worked. Now, some edge case stuff: This system doesn't support power on from USB. My past two builds (MSI z170 M5 Gaming, Asus X370 Pro-Prime) had this feature so you could just move your mouse or strike a key to get the system to turn on from off, standby, hibernate. This system only supports wake at certain time of day (RTC) or wake-on-LAN. The UPS (Cyberpower 1500VA) I run works fine with my Corsair AX650 and CX650 supplies but this system will instantly shut down UPS during a power outage. It may be because it's a simulated sine wave unit but, like I said, it works with my other computers. So, I guess that's that. If you want a prebuilt system that you have to make significant changes to make work then it's probably the best value out right now. I spent more time tweaking and trying to get this system to work than any of my previous builds; and those literally came in a dozen boxes each without Windows installed. Meh, 5/10. Do better, Asus. Next time employ people that know how sound level meters and temperature probes work.

Posted .Dear Fozzy,
Thank you for taking some time to write a review and for sharing your experience with the desktop PC.
We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused. On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product, will agree with me that it is a decent system that is perfect for running popular games and applications, without compromising system stability and performance. The cooling system is adequate to dissipate heat efficiently while the PC is under heavy load. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

You'll have to modify the system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a plug and play system, just stop right here. It's not going to happen even in your wildest dreams. When I first booted this system up (3070) it sounded like a jet turbine getting ready to go into supersonic flight. Kidding aside the exhaust fan is about as loud as a vacuum cleaner, seriously. You'll hear it through your headphones and you'll disturb anyone else in your household. If you run this out of the box, the noise will be excessive and as you have already figured out, the thermal performance will be less than ideal. Simply put you will not get the full performance the individual components are capable of out of the box. You will be thermal throttled period if you play games. Read what other reviewers have done to their systems and decide if you're willing to do that. Yes, it will take you dollars and hours to get it right. Weigh this against other prebuilt units and you'll see that you'll barely come out ahead. If you're comparing items and mulling it over, seriously just spend the extra on your prebuilt and save yourself the labor.

I like it HOT HOT HOT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really needs a better cooler for the CPU. Sold this to someone who complained about the CPU overheating. Offered to fix it by re-installing the cooler Case is also terrible for airflow and should be swapped. Other than that the parts are good to be used in another build for barely over current retail

Posted .Dear Duda,
We do understand your concern about thermal issues.
It is normal for the PC generating more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no system resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely speak the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Upgraded cooling is a must!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as an open box to save a few bucks and besides the cooling issue it really is a great PC for the money. The stock Intel CPU cooler is absolute garbage, running between 80-100°C without a load. I replaced it with a noctua CPU cooler and a threw a few fans in it. Now running at 40-60° consistently so over all not too bad for but be prepared to spend about $100 extra on cooling.

Really poor thermals
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros - in stock, decent price, good video card Cons - almost everything else. Running basic COD Black Ops on 2160x1440 resolution on high, Cpu got throttled, hit 100C and then shut down. The components are capable of MUCH more but just shoddy design coupled with really cheap cooling parts from the manufacturer. Nope

Not for the novice computer customer, defective pa
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok the price is high, 1600.00. Now it has a defect straight from the factory. You will need to replace the cooler as the one that is installed will not work. The unit overheats.. also add an additional fan. Is this unit worth the price yes and no, the video card is around 1300. But the defect if your not computer savvy will cost you to have that replaced.
