Great Parts and Price, but requires better cooling
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Parts and performance at this price are a good match, with one major drawback: The i7 11700F and its proximity on the board to the RTX 3070 generate a lot of heat and the fans provided on the CPU and case are not adequate to keep the CPU at acceptable temperatures and fan noise levels(vacuum cleaner) > Stock intel i7 11700F cooler and the single rear exhauster fan do not keep the > Temperatures reaching 100*C (its thermal limit) while installing windows updates Troubleshooting: And No this wasn't just a bad unit or a bad fan. I took it apart and cleaned and reapplied a better thermal paste to the stock cooler and verified it was securely seated on the motherboard. The fans work, VERY LOUD. Temps still hovered between 77*C - 100*C Solution: Easily fixed with an All-In-One liquid cooling solution for $80-100 or a better Air Cooler for $50-75 My Fix: **see pictures** Upgraded the CPU cooler: >Noctua NH-D15S Chromax ($99) **Note: it's wider than the original case can support and you won't be able to close the side panel requiring a new case. Upgraded High Airflow Case: > Lian Li LanCool II Mesh RGB ($129) CPU temps in new case are now significantly better: 30*C - 50*C and the whole system is barely audible and not picked up on my Mic during work from home Zoom meetings.

Your CPU probably doesn't have enough paste
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to give it more than 3, honestly, if only because the price and components make it the best prebuilt you can buy in the past several months. However, the case and cooling are abysmal, especially when it has to cool such strong parts like the i7 11700f and a RTX 3070 with a sweet little Strix mobo that has plenty of USB ports and WiFi. Other than the notorious Intel stock cooler, it only has the most petite exhaust fan, that has no chance to do its job with any success. THE REAL KICKER is what I discovered when I went to install a better CPU cooler. I'll attach the photo. Spoiler alert: It's the worst thermal paste job I've ever seen, ever. And this is prebuilt by professionals at Asus, I thought. Or maybe a robot in a factory is responsible, either way, this is sad. Especially when most people buy prebuilt so they can plug and play. Normal customers don't want to deal with why their CPU temp is rivaling the surface of the sun. My other complaints are minor: -My GPU is right up against the chunky mobo IO thing that Strix decided to use. It is barely able to be plugged into the top PCIe slot where it's supposed to be. I hope it doesn't scrape off GPU paint if I need to remove it. -The tiny Strix mobo does NOT have an optical cable hole. I never realized it until my $300 Astro A50 headset was the last thing to plugin, and I couldn't find the optical port. That sucks. Now my headset it sounds like crap and the surround might as well be turned off.

Decent system with great build quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This PC build is used for cards like 1660, 2060, 2070. They decide not to change anything and add the RTX 3070 and 3080 inside but still keep the system at 1 system fan only. This is not ideal for max performance. The CPU only use air cooling rather than liquid cooling. So need extra work when you get this if you need a cool and decent performance system. The build quality is really good and the GPU is ASUS RTX 3070 Dual with 2 fans. The CPU is a 11700F, need image output from the GPU. GPU only has HDMI and mini display port. If your display only has a USB-c port, then they don’t work. They will include a basic keyboard and mouse inside. Cords are also inside for expansion.

It's a prebuilt and it shows, otherwise good parts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The case is good quality and the i7 Rocket Lake is hopefully the fastest i7 we'll ever see on 14nm. If Intel hopes to stay in the ballgame they will have to make 10nm happen soon. The 3070 is the reason were all here, the Asus Dual model installed is a great one that cools well. Speaking of cooling, the GPU is the last time I'll use the term, "cools well". This thing is a cooling catastrophe. The CPU showed max temps of 100c in hwmonitor. It has to be throttling like crazy. Why? Because to cool this entire 750w tower is a single 120mm exhaust fan that probably cost $5 at the most. There are no intake fans at all. The CPU cooler is the OEM intel buzzer. $30 in fans and the cheapest AIO on Amazon or NewEgg would make this a 4-5 star rig. Why Asus, why?

Be ready to remove side panel or upgrade cooling
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I think Asus is taking advantage of the gpu shortage. It's a decent price for the parts, but CLEARLY the stock cooler isn't good enough to these hot intel CPUs. The temps with the side panel on as intended regularly hit 100c sometimes just with minor stuff. The CPU is thermal throttling like it's no tomorrow! You can go the cheapo rout and take off the side panel for a bit extra airflow and dropped temps. But more dusting will be needed. Alternatively you could just upgrade the cooler. But keep in mind that the computer case is alot thinner than your typical PC case, so either a low profile air cooler or an AIO will be needed if you want your side panel to close. It's a shame but even so this is a GREAT deal in the current hellscape that is PC buying/building right now.

Decent Computer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this ASUS computer is impressive from its customizable light display pattern to its boot-up speed. However, when the insides get warm, watch out! The installed fans are not adequate in keeping you from getting the blue screen of death (BSOD) or an automatic shutdown. If you are computer handy and savvy, you will need to install a more efficient cooling system. Also, be aware that the case is tight, so your cooling system will need to be scaled to fit in the tight space. If you use your computer for light usage, then you will probably never notice any issues. However, if you are a gamer or use resource-intensive applcations, you have been warned.

Tips for additional cooling
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 3080 version and we all know the cooling of this prebuilt is a joke. Here is mine beefed up with 240mm aio and 3x 120mm fans. You can do the aio in front but only be able to screw 2 bolts, and 120mm on top you'd have to zip tie. But now at least the CPU is running 65c under full load and GPU is properly cooled. Really hope Asus address this cooking issue since it is not acceptable for a $1600+ gaming PC. ( 3080 GPU won't fit after 240mm aio, but 3070 should fit, that's what I have in it now)

Great PC, needs extra fans + solid CPU cooler!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy that this was in stock during this latest mining boom. A few cons worth noting: -The case only comes with 1 exhaust fan, and no intake fans. Filling those fan slots is definitely a must, unless you like frying your PC components. FYI, no space to screw them, so get your handy dandy zip-ties ready. - The CPU cooler they used is an absolute joke for 11700F (aka a pocket sized fusion reactor). Definitely get a better cooler on there ASAP. Thermal throttling happens way too often to say its properly cooled. -The case is mostly proprietary, and upgradability to within the case (not the motherboard) is near non existent past zip-tying fans. A case swap would be recommended, but isn't 100% necessary. Now, the pros: + Mine shipped with the Asus Dual 3070 non-LHR. + Solid MOBO so far, been able to tighten my ram timings no problem. +RGB on the case is pretty sick in my opinion, NGL. Bottom line; if you want a pc with a RTX 3000 series that is in stock often, and have some extra fans & a cpu cooler laying around, go for it!

You need to gut it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Think we all know why were here and why one would buy this(3070 lul). I did like some of the others have suggested and I gutted this pc. Thus I've had an excellent experience so far, however gutting a pc isn't easy/cost effective for everyone. I would really recommend this only if you can do what I did and put it into a better case, mount some fans and use a better cooler. I think the 3070 Dual is an excellent gpu and it stays so quiet and so cool but you need a better environment for it. Same for the 11700f, just not as cool temp wise lol. Also like some have said the build quality is surprisingly quite good all around. The motherboard is actually really quality as well, it has like 6 or 7 USB ports on the rear IO, 2.5G LAN, bios flashback, 2 type-c ports, 2 M.2 slots and its on the B560 chipset. All really good features I think and personally all one would really need. Idk it definitely has its caveats but the 3070, the 11700f for what it is, and motherboard I rate high.

Good but needs additional work
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this PC for about 2 weeks at the time of this review. I can confirm what everyone else is saying, the cooling situation is not to be ignored. You will need to add additional fans and adjust the fan speeds in the BIOS to prevent the machine from shutting down due to overheating. There's no negotiating that. I added two 120mm fans to the front panel and I can already see a massive improvement, keeping temps below 70c during aggressive use. I will almost certainly be adding more, but it seems manageable now. I just hope any one else who gets their hands on this build does so with the understanding that it needs work - but hey, great mobo, GPU and CPU are a fine starting point for someone looking to maintain and upgrade a machine!

Satisfactory but not great
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The price on this machine was too good to pass up. I was looking for an upgrade at pc and this fit the bill. With the price of GPUs out there right now I figured i couldnt go wrong. This guy overheats really badly though. I have had to add a fan and add thermal paste to make this thing usable at all while gaming at a high level. So far it has been satisfactory but nothing to right home about. I would probably not buy again but i needed it so here i am.

Nice specs for the price, cooling is the catch
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: >Asus Dual 3070 >Intel 11700 CPU >Beefy 750w PSU >Plenty of additional cables and hardware included for upgrades Cons: >Cooling is horrendous >Included 1tb HDD is outdated tech >Case design is unaccomdating for large upgrades I'll start by addressing the elephant in the room... The cooling for this system is almost non-existent. There is no air intake whatsoever, and the exhaust is a single, loud 92mm fan. This isn't acceptable in a much less powerful machine, let alone a gaming rig such as this. The addition of 2 intake fans and 1 more exhaust fan would have likely met minimum requirements. To make matters much worse, the thermal pasting job on my CPU was laughably unprofessional. I wish I had taken photos, because it was just... really bad, which likely explains why CPU temps were hitting the 90s when installing Windows 11. Well, that and the stock Intel cooler is completely inadequate. If you buy this, you absolutely need to upgrade the cooling. I highly recommend a liquid cooling solution for the CPU - I was able to install a Corsair 240mm AIO (Elite Capellix), but the metal plate that covers the PSU and HDD needed to be permanently removed to accomodate. A 120mm AIO would likely fit with that plate still installed. I also recommend an additional exhaust fan, or at least replacing the included 92mm with something of higher quality to lessen noise and improve efficiency. All-in-all, you probably won't find a better deal on these specs in the current market. But you 100% need to be prepared to make some upgrades right off the bat. If you aren't confident in doing this work yourself, I recommend having it professionally done - these installs are never as simple as they seem.

Needs work, around 150$ budget to make a great pc
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like all the other comments, the cpu needs better cooling system. I play warzone at 2k 120 fps and my cpu and gpu get around 70*C (after I installed 3 case fans) But this is a great bang for buck considering the prices on 3070s at the moment. Looking to install a aio to lower the temp for the cpu. If you are looking at making this a streaming set up, do get more ram. The motherboard is quite small, but the case is small as well. And when trying to install fans to the front of the case. make sure you do not rip off the power button in the front. I ended up doing that and now the latch that connects the power button is broken and i have the hang the button cord through the vent.

OK option if you need the GPU but requires cooling
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As it has already been said by most of the other review, CPU and case cooling is terrible and Asus should be ashamed of selling this system as is. I was hitting 100 degrees and thermal throttling just botting up Windows and installing updates. Took the side off and it's usable until I can get a better cooler. With an aftermarket CPU cooler and more fans its not a terrible system but this should be required on a purchase of this amount. I will probably make it work but I would recommend looking at other options if possible. Asus GPU is great and runs cool. I received a Asus Dual 3070 that is not LHR. Probably the only plus on this system.

Good, but needs a new heat sink
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not a machine you can use without modification. The CPU is no cooled properly, but a quick little 30 dollar heat sink can fix that. The case isn't the best, but it does the job, I even fit another GPU into the case and it fits and works with the same power supply.

Great PC terrible case
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We all know what you're here for. Most people have already posted the specs, It's built solid but this case is horrible. There is literally no room to add any extra HDD's, but they give you extra SATA cables so thats nice. All the parts are great but definitely needs better cooling. The stock Fan on the CPU isn't going to cut it for most intensive games and there is no room for any liquid cooling fans but some space for a larger fan . Dump the case a get a new one then this is 5 stars. Part value is nice, especially with GPU prices nowadays.

Perfect for Flying Sims
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a plug-and-play system. Some things to do when you get this are to get a new CPU cooler, case, and reapply thermal paste if it is not included with the CPU fan/cooler. I have built man pcs, but this by far was the most difficult to modify. I thought people were exaggerating with the fan, but I was wrong. I don’t game; I trade stocks, and even when I opened up my stock platform just on the main screen, it sounded like I was right next to a Boeing. I have owned my own company before, and even then, I made sure that I was producing high-quality products, bringing some value to the customer. It is upsetting to me that Asus does not care about the value they bring to their customers because if they just took a look at their target market (people that don’t want to take apart your product to fix it for you, don’t know a lot about tech, and people that don’t want to build a pc), they would have fixed the issue by installing better cooling. By having a crappy cooling system, they get more sales because the price of the pc is lowered. In my opinion, it’s not worth it because your customers now have to take time out of their day to figure out how to fix your computer's issues and install a better cooling system. I won’t buy anything from us again, not because of their products but because I have seen how they conduct themselves as a company and unfortunately don’t care about producing high-quality products.

Posted .Dear Cole,
We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
All ASUS products are manufactured in compliance to industry's quality standard and each one undergoes intensive quality control testing and inspections. The desktop PC is a ccomplete and fully-configured system that has adequate colling system that dissipates heat efficiently while it's under heavy load. It is normal just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the PC is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please make sure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.
If you need further assistance with the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.
Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

Good value given the current GPU climate
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, pc prforms well, sounds like a jet engine, but there is some definite value for this pc. I would reccomend adding a fan in the from of the pc on the bottom, so that some cool air blows on the gpu. I find that hot air can kind of get stuck in the bottom in the case and seems to only come out via convection, but a fan in the front bottom of the case fixes this mostly.
