Great Buy... maybe the... BEST BUY

It does get hot using the default profiles from armory crate, download ghelper and look up a guide to get best noise/cooling performance.

You can tell it's throttling the computer a little bit, but from what I've noticed it doesn't seem to affect gameplay much. I've played Fallout 4 on 4k update, Phasmaphobia, Borderlands 2, and Cyberpunk. It struggled a little bit with cyberpunk 2 on high graphics, but for the most part it wasn't painstaking.

When using my previous computer it would continuously shut down and crash when softwares for a long time or having multiple open at once. With my new asus I’m an able to run mutlipe hefty softwares such as rhino two motion and autoCAD without the computer crashing which is awesome.

The extra VRAM is vital for modren games so I dont recommend anything lower than the 12 in this. It get warm and a bit loud. But you can make adjustments depending on what youre playing. Ive owned several different gaming laptops in the lastn3 years but Ive found myself back with the zephyrus series for a reason.

I ended up returning it for a couple of reasons (performance certainly wasn’t one of them). I exchanged it for the G16 because I preferred the larger screen and it has room for an extra ssd where the G14 does not.

The 4070 with 8gb Vram of last year was bad, and the new ryzen 9 AI HX 370 is way better than last year cpu. Is a little more heavy, but not much and because this has way better cooling than last year and more power. I so not recomend going with the 5080 version, unless you need the extra vram, 16gb.

When running it with the GPU, it will use the battery very quickly, but that is to be expected, so make sure to have a charger handy. Luckily, you can use a UCBC cable not just the proprietary charger, which is excellent.

But asus need to figure out what’s going on with their firmware business on wake, the computer cant figure to stay on dgpu or igpu and stutters even on light load games like league with discord in the bkg. It consistently crashes after a few minutes of play. Once it reboots, business as usual.

Want to love, but not at this price

Its a nice design, sleek exterior and build feels decent. Unfortunately feels like some of the ASUS software holds the computer back from being really great. She loves the laptop every day. This is great help for her's so many SW tools installed in her computer. Worth the purchase.

We recommend connecting the AC adapter while using USB-C charging and ensure this laptop is running with the most current BISO version. The power & performance is right at the edge of what a laptop this size can handle. The screen is extremely vivid and the pixel density is simply excessive. The chassis is solid, and the bits you touch are all premium.

The only con I’ve noticed is the temperature of the laptop seems to rise pretty quickly even during simple tasks but if you can get past that its a great product
