Great price, and its worth getting if you are trying to run multiple routers for asus ai mesh. Sends out 2.5gps per port and covers the whole area

I will preface my review with the fact that I am familiar with ASUS routers.
I bought the BE92U with a much smaller footprint to replace the much larger BE96U that I had had for a while. My home is a 2-story townhouse, and I had an AI mesh network set up on the 96U, so I needed that on the new 92U router. Set up was simple using my web browser. For me, there was no real need to change default settings of the router itself. I did use my Asus RT82 and RT86 routers to reestablish my AI Mesh network, with the RT82 in my main bedroom and the RT86 in my office/game room. Once I reset those 2 and set them up as mesh nodes, they were recognized by this router, and everything is working fine in all 3 bands.
Additionally, I was able to set up and use an external USB drive as a Network drive.
I definitely recommend this router. (BTW, firmware is the latest).

I'd been looking at Wifi 6E routers for a while when I noticed Wifi 7 was available. After spending time on several models I choice this one based on the features. Solid router and a decent price point for Wifi 7.

The first four days I had this router I had constant problems - dropped/unstable connections, poor latency, etc. On the fifth day the router died. Tried powering it off and back on twice, nothing happened. Did a reset - nothing happened. Tried a reset a second time and it came back to life. Needless to say this over-priced router is being returned tomorrow.

Works well except when you restart modem. Make sure you unplug wireless and wait until modem is fully up. Or it will refuse to recognize the internet.

Was ok when I bought it, software update made it useless to me. $300 brick now! Switched back to my old Asus router and no problems at all. The router software is buggy! The router literally would stop passing traffic and have to be manually be rebooted, and sometimes it was every day or somes several times a day. I haven't had to reboot my older Asus router even once. Is it possible once they update the firmware that it will work better, but right now wouldn't buy this router even on sale if you want a dependable router. And don't believe that it is a hardware issue but a software issue.

Got this to replace an old ASUS router that was cutting out. I had the fios people out, my connection is good, gotta be the router, right? So I put this one in and I have other problems, most of which are inconsistent connections with my wireless items in the house. Computers, Xbox, switches, iPhones, you name it, inconsistent connections. It's not even that old, but I've already had to factory reset it two times because it was completely frozen! Expensive garbage that I cannot return now. I'm not happy with ASUS and I will not be purchasing this brand in the future.
We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing connection problem. To resolve this, if you are connecting legacy devices, these may not work properly with WIFI-6 and WIFI-7, please check updates for these device. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Also we recommend updating the router's firmware if running with an older version. Garbage router. Randomly drops internet connection every day or few days even on the latest firmware. Others also have similar problems when you do a Google search.

I have had the RT-BE92U Wi-Fi 7 router for almost 2 weeks and it has been extremely frustrating using the internet during this time. The router randomly reboots on occasion and causes internet outages too often. I have rebooted the router and made sure the firmware was up to date. However, the issues persisted. My previous Netgear Wi-Fi 6 AX5200 router also provided faster Wi-Fi speeds at least on the upload side than this router and did not have any random disconnect or internet outages caused by it. I am returning this terrible product and Asus really needs to recall this product or figure out what the heck is wrong with it. There are other reviews out there saying the same thing after doing more research, and I will not buy another Asus networking product and stick with Netgear.

Using this as an access point for my firewall, no hiccups yet and I'm getting strong WiFi signal way farther away than on my previous device. Speeds are acceptable too.

I was hesitant buying this with the mixed reviews. There were three firmware updates in February that have resolved all of the issues. The cores are running optimally and no reboots needed! For the price of $212.99 (on sale, this is a steal to get a wifi7 router, check out the review of this from Dong Knows. His review is spot on!

Constant disconnects - last time had to factory reset it for the THIRD time (ive had it for 2 days now) for the router page to even load. Works great - when it decides to work and not randomly disconnect.

This is a very good router. I forgot to grab the one I had when I moved, so it got left behind, but definitely wanted to order the same one for my new place. You can create different networks on this router to support new devices, and older devices. I just wish 2-gig fiber was available where I live now, but I’ll just have to settle for 1-gig for now.

DO NOT buy this router. It frequently reboots or drops all WIFI connections and has to be rebooted, as others have stated in the BB reviews and in ASUS forums. ASUS has been releasing firmware updates almost monthly and the reboots are less frequent but still happen several times a week. Maybe it's just a firmware bug and eventually they will work it out, but at this point I cannot recommend this router to anyone. For $200+, I expect better quality control from a name brand company like ASUS.
